Jungle Landing Zone… A Display Featuring K&C’s UH-1D Huey Model (1 Viewer)

Good Job on solving the hovering aspect. Allows for more room on the display as well as making it more realistic. Robin.

Nicely done! Did you attach the Huey to the plastic or is it just resting on the plastic pieces?

Wow! Great idea to use the acrylic to display in flight mode. While the pictures look fantastic, I bet seeing this dio up close looks even better.
A deserving display for an excellent piece.
Love your photography as well!

Thank you all for the very kind comments and compliments on my diorama… It all made my day 😃

BHogan, to answer your question, the Huey model is just resting on the plastic supports and is actually very stable. I used an Acrylic Display Riser that a friend and fellow Treefrog forum member, Corey, directed me to on Amazon a few weeks ago. I picked the riser with the desired height, turned it over, secured it to the diorama base with some double sided tape, and then covered it over with the soil and other bits to hide it. The technique seems to work well!

Here’s a pic of the set of acrylic risers I got and a link to them on Amazon:

Thank you again, everyone for the compliments on my diorama 😃

And hat’s off to King & Country for their excellent Huey model!
