Hi Steve,
Love your jungle setting and it looks like you've got a nice collection of Jungle Aussies and TG Japanese. Thanks for sharing.
I like how you combined the Japanese gun to the Bantam. You know, my Bantam is tan (missed out on the green version).
Great dio!
Really enjoying TG's Aussies.

Thanks Rob !

I reckon my interest in this range primed me for my Vietnam dioramas !

I tried to make it look in the Japanese troops with the Jeep and Howitzer pic, that they were trying to repair a breakdown and think I said at the time they were blaming the driver for having not chosen a Japanese vehicle !

Out of curiosity, do you have a favorite among the series, WWII USMC in the Pacific, WWII Jungle Aussies, or Vietnam? We even have Korea now.
I know you've posted some amazing jungle shots from all the themes (with perhaps the exception of Korea).

Cheers Rob !

Both WWII Pacific USMC and the WWII Jungle Aussies, I enjoyed collecting.
These days my money mostly goes into Vietnam ranges. It's a real shame that TG's Vietnam range are a bit on the small side as they could of covered a lot of what K&C may miss out on. Hoping that they will reconsider re-releasing the two smaller Jungle huts again, which sold out pretty quickly on their original release and with the K&C Vietnam range being around now would I'm sure find many ready customers. The Larger one, which I do have is fine, but for many would be taking up too much space.
Oh, I did do one Korean war scene. But it's not something I find grabs me in the same way as the others had /have.

I have some Vietnam from Collector's Showcase (Huey & some figs), but that's it. Really did not want to start another theme after WWII Pacific. I had started with TG's Japanese Gun which really got me appreciating the detailing, esp. the facial work of the figures which seems to stand out for me. Having started a modest collection of Japanese, it led me to the Aussies to counter them. My K&C USMC are busy fighting K&C Japanese.{sm4} Now I have a nice balance, although I need one more Aussie. Certain themes I seem to start collecting after a few years from original release.

Same thoughts for me in re. to TG's Jungle Houses, think I mentioned it before as well. I've tried finding these sets from 2nd hand sellers to know success. Maybe if enough of us ask for them, TG will oblige.^&grin

Even Aussies love Dodge with this Jungle Hopper:

Is it just me, or does the Aussie with Bayonet look like Harrison Ford? ^&grin

The settings for these two scenes work really well. The Dodge makes for a great centrepiece. Robin.

Thanks Robin. My Dodge has seen a lot of 4-wheeling action, but have been wanting to feature with some Aussies for a bit. Appreciate it.

Hi everyone,

Just a little shot from this morning:

We may be seeing some new "all-action Aussies" and the jungle huts have me really excited!

Hi Guys, hope everyone is doing well.

Over the weekend, I was taking some photos and came across an old statue. Thought I'd incorporate in a scene. A little shiny for a jungle ruin, but thought I'd post anyway. It's fun to add different pieces/elements in dioramas, something many of you are very good at doing (me, not so much).

Sunday afternoon would find these Australian jungle scouts along the river's shore with Bantam Jeep:

Like the statue and backdrop Rob, really makes for a neat scene. Robin.
Thanks Robin, tried hard to incorporate the statue. Not quite what I wanted but made the best of it. Appreciate it.

Morning all, hope everyone is doing well.

An Australian emplacement soon to be under attack by Japanese:
