Just got my 88!! (1 Viewer)

Milk is back now in schools - don't worry Rob!

But yeah i remember the days of Maggie Thatcher the Milk Snatcher! :)
She took my milk away!

If they gave out Chocolate Milk i'd go back to school!:D

Rob

Cheers Joe - yep that's my Prime Mover not Rob's! :)
Rob - You can't have it - IT'S MINE I TELL YOU...ALL MINE!
:D

Seriously though these have gone straight in at the top of my collection. Great pieces.

Oops! :DSorry James, I really wasn't trying to give your prime mover to Rob, honest! :p Thanks for sharing your pics. I think it's cool that your serial nos. on each piece are the same as one another. I can't wait to get mine and the Firefly and the new Highlanders too! Thanks agaon for the cool pics James & Rob. This is just a whole lotta of fun! Enjoy your treasures! :D

Joe

88 - mine is 22 and the mover is 23

You won't see these on ebay!!!!

To anyone with an 88 Winter. Is there much metal content or is it mostly plastic ?

Thanks

Does anyone know if the "Winter Attack" set and the "Winter Surprise" set are on par scale wise with the new 88 and Prime mover? Also what year were these two Figarti sets released? Has the sculpting and paint job quality changed?

I'm thinking of purchasing these sets to compliment my newly arrived 88 and Prime mover but I want to make sure the scale is the same.

Winter Attack and Winter Surprise are both 1/30 scale, so they are the same scale as the new 88 and Prime Mover. Both sets were launched at the March 2008 West Coaster Show.:)

I'm glad to hear that they are on par with the 88 and Prime Mover. I think I'm just gonna have to go ahead and order these two sets. From all the photos I've seen the sculpting and painting seem to be good and the positions the figures are in are excellent. Thanks for the help.

Also the 2 kneeling figures in the Winter surprise set have optional bases so can be tank riders (or presumably sit on the Prime mover) or alternatively use the bases in a ground type role.
Good flexibility.

Regards
Clive

This is a really quick diorama I threw together. If I had more time I would worked on the scenery a little more.

interestingly arranged display, considering it was put on quickly.

the stug commander is maybe a bit too zealous though, trying to cut across an active 88!:D:p

Very nice display - simple and very effective. Whose Stug is in the display. And the pine trees look good - where did they come from?

:D I needed something else to fill the void so I tossed in the stug. Don't worry there is some excellent communication going on there. Its safe to cross right now, I hope :D

Thanks Terry, the Stug is from K&C "Wolf in Sheep Clothing". Alex P. painted it for me sometime ago. The paint job almost matches perfect with the Figarti 88 and Prime mover. I picked the pine trees up at a local hobby shop that carried alot of diorama accessories for model trains. I forget the name of them, if I run across their boxes I'll let you know.

Nice display Sahara. :)

The K&C figures appear to blend in nicely.

Just asking here, were there any 88 guns at the Bulge.
Very nice diorama by the way.
Thanks for posting it

There were many 88s at the Bulge with the towed 88s often used as field artillery. The thickly forested Ardennes did not give the towed 88s as much of an anti-tank role as in North Africa or the Russian steppes.
