K&C an appreciation (1 Viewer)

Lots of great products have been released by K&C new and old, wish I could have been collecting back when they started the WWII line, always wanted that winter 88:(, so much is appreciated and lots of great things to come for sure for K&C, always look forward to the monthly dispatches, which hopefully are out tommorow:)...Sammy

Hi Rob,
As you know, I'm a big K & C supporter as well. No other manufacturer is more prominent in my collection. Even if the gap has closed, it seems that I always add enough K & C pieces to keep them at the pole position:)! Even though I do collect AFV's, my main focus has primarily been on the actual toy soldiers themselves. Below are just a few of my favorite K & C figures (these are my favorites today, btw...come tomorrow I might have a completely different group of K & C favorites, that's because, and this is kinda corny, they are pretty much my favorites). [I posted some of these pics several days ago, before the K & C thread ignited. With all the commotion, I don't think anybody even noticed. So I think this is a better time to share these.] Anyways, thank you Rob for starting this thread and for sharing your story of your introduction to K & C. Thank you for the pics as well...you've got a awesome collection of K & C Allied and Axis classics. Fantastic pieces indeed...and I mean the whole lot of 'em.

Joe

The fighting Bishop is really a classic to me. I read that fighting members of the clergy were not supposed to shed the blood of their adversaries, so they were given blunt weapons instead of swords and knives. Which begs the question, is it the end result of a weapon's use or the intent behind its use that matters in the end? Doh! I almost forgot...this is a toy soldier appreciation thread, not philosophy hour:p:)!

I love old Sepp. The officer class may have thought him stupid but, he could certainly get his men to do the almost 'superhuman' in battle from their respect for him. Its certainly a great pose and so Dietrich.

I am enjoying collecting the Personality figures of late and still need the Daddy of them all Winston,I'd also like to see a new figure of Goering but in a Battle of Britain type scenario,I know he had many different types of uniform made for him so no doubt something flamboyant!.

Two I'd really like are Churchill's right hand man Sir Alan Brooke and Hurricane ace Bob stanford Tuck.

Rob....

I think all the 'well known' aces etc from the BOB will eventually be released as the range is new it will have to happen as they are what made the battle that bit more evocative. Don't know about the other may just be a bit to obscure (if you know what I mean) to be commercially successful.

Yes you are probably right there Mitch. Bob Stanford tuck was a superb pilot and a figure of him would be very welcome, he also suffered a horrible twist of fate during the Battle of Britain.

Thanks Rob! The collection continues to grow! Looking back through your pics somehow I missed your finished D-day diorama - it finished great! Excellent job on the water....I remember when you started on that....fantastic work, Rob. Thanks for sharing.

Rob...

Nice. is that the JG miniatures beach matt?
Mitch

I really like Rob's water because you can see that it is moving with a lot of chopping force from all the activity pushing toward the shore. I love the little rocks pushed forward by the whitewash too! Outstanding creativity and execution on display there.

Rob,

This was my first K&C set.....DD55 Churchill.

One of my favourites.....a very good likeness with cigar and "V for Victory" sign.

Cheers, Raymond.:)
