K&C Brisbane Dinner and Q&A Session (1 Viewer)

Al

There are at least three of us attending the dinner lining up to ask the same questions!

Regards

Jack
Many thanks, Jack. I am glad to see I am not the only one stuck in the mire of the Great War. -- Al

Howard,
Can you please ask Andy
1. If the SOHK / USN Chinese Pirate Junk boat is likely to eventuate or has the boat been kicked into touch? If it is still happening... what stage is it up to and when are we likely to see it?
2. Are any opposition in the form of Chinese pirates, Triad gangsters or whatever are planned for the USN / USMC series or has the series reached the end of the road?
3. Any chance of a WW1 version of the Rolls Royce Armoured Car? (You may not want to hear the answer to that one after the superb job Obee did for you, but...)
Cheers mate

Jules

Howard...

Ask Andy if any Nebelwefers are on the horizon. Cheers
Mitch

I am grateful that K&C has readdressed the AWI series with the Marching Fusiliers and the Mounted Fusilier Colonel – MANY THANKS.

But we fringe AWI guys really need:

(A) Some British and American Causalities ,and …
(B) Major reinforcements to the Colonial Militia and backwoodsmen sets

Hey, What a “PERFECT” time for the next “Dispatches” to show all the new AWI sets --- JULY 4th!{sm4}
Thanks Howard for the offer! --- Larry

I would also like an update on the ACW range. Really looking forward to seeing those WW1 prototypes!!!! If photos of them are allowed to be posted, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would greatly appreciate them. :)

Thanks for your understanding.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat mate,
Many thanks for the clean up. The thread sought of ran off into a good old "Donnybrook" pub brawl.

Gentlemen,
Thanks for the questions. They will be asked and answered. Five more days to add any further questions.

Cheers Howard

PS There absolutely no truth to the rumour that Louis Badaloto and George Guerriero will make a guest appearance at the Dinner.^&grin^&grin^&grin

Wayne mate,
Very kind of you, but I am just the Forum reporter and photographer lurking in the background to get that tit bit of news that slips out of Andy's mouth and catching one of the new Brissy collector on camera trying to escape with a Nile Gunboat.^&grin^&grin

Howard, it might pay to have inspector Rex there as well as the Brissy collector "Yoda" might be in disguise and hard to spot...^&grin

Photos of the 16 protos will be allowed so should have them up on forum next week. Would represent three release batches.

Thanks for asking,

1. When or if will there ever be any more Wild West.
2. When or if will there ever be anymore Civil War.
3. When or if will there ever be any more Rough Riders.
4. Why can we not get answers to these kind of questions on the forum.
5. Why has it been ten months without any American Soldiers at all. There has never been more then one month here or there without UK or German soldiers in a dispatch ever.
6. Can we get some African American troops in WW2, how about Tuskegee, etc. Also in Civil War if there is to be any civil war. If not why.
7. What is the Christmas set going to be or hint.
8. What or is there anything next for WW1 other then Aviation and when.
9. Is it possible to find a way to cut overhead etc and bring the price of KC figures down.

Here is a start for ya.

I will send more short sentence questions like these later.

Good luck.

Absolutely my own thoughts here.

Regarding Q's 1-4 I think any manufacturer will be careful about detailing their future production plans. It is a competitive market and each will no doubt reveal their plans when they think appropriate.

For Q6 please see the thread about K&C talk at Chicago 2009 show where this exact subject was covered.

Q7 Nice item and have seen proto.

Q8 I think you will like the 16 items Andy brining down to Oz based on what I know you have in your collection.

Q9 Based on what I have been reading about business in China / HK in last week chances of prices going down are not likely. Overheads going up all the time. I have some specific examples not related to Toy Soldiers and will post soon as interesting background about what going on in manufacturing in general.

Regards
Brett
