One easy clue is the feedback number ... just associate this number with the eBay ID.:D There is a certain group of collectors I keep track of.;)

Pls go help this seller out, this is hard to watch, he really doesn't know what he has, a lot of mixed up stuff........good stuff..... PS can you grab the Iwo Sherman for me?

He also seems to have added a few small lots/pieces. I suspect there is more in this collection than has been put on e-bay so far.

He's doing a lot of mixing again. One of the recent ones has a lot of Pacific items. However, it also has the old landing craft (DD 12) as well as some Arnhem certificates.

This works for items listed on eBay (US), but not for eBay (UK).

On eBay (UK), bidders are identifed as Bidder 1, Bidder 2, Bidder 3 and so on.

Only the star rating of the bidders is shown. The feedback numbers are hidden.

It is near impossible to guess who is bidding this way.

I can tell who a couple of the bidders are. The rest who knows.
 
Thanks for pointing out this treasure trove. I usually do not mix in business funds with hobby interests, but whats the use of owning your business if you cannot make the rules..:DMichael

Without a detailed description of what is in each "set", even if you win, how can you verify you recieved everything that is in the "set" you won?
 
I was a newbie once just like you and not that long ago. If you navigate around Bill Sager's site, www.toysoldiersusa.com, you'll be able to find out everything. Also, Louis' book is very helpful if you have that.

Plus, we're always willing, ready and able to help others out with whatever we know :)

The seller has indicated that he does not know much about what he is selling and I would guess he is helping a friend who was not the actual collector. With no boxes and little knowlege, the seller would be hard pressed to provide a detailed description. Some of the figure sets and and some of the figures that come with vehicles or equipment sets are split up between the shelves, so I hope Forum members who are the successful bidders will post the fact so figures can be traded or sold to complete sets.:)

You would think by now he would cancel his auctions and get some help figuring out what he has, what it's worth, and come up with a better selling strategy. Having split sets on different shelves (lots) is really a mess. I find auctions like this really frustrating. It offends my sense of order :D:rolleyes:
