Joe,

Thanks for taking the time to take and post these.

oh boy...our first look at the WW1 aviation line...highly impressed so far....^&grin

Many thanks, Joe, for taking the time and making the effort to post so many wonderful pictures. Very well done and much appreciated. -- Al

John,
I did not recognise the NA27 figure.

Robin,
I agree with your comment about the Mameluke. However there will be quite a few who already have it. Some might now be thinking it could be a good time to sell as will be more revived interest.

Regards
Brett

Those big toy soldier shows sure look awesome, I'm envious of everyone who gets to attend! :redface2: Thanks for posting all those marvelous pics and rest assured it is most appreciated as I've been drooling over them for days.

I must say these latest releases were unexpected and caught me pleasantly by surprise. They have reignited my interest as I found the last little while things have been a little dull in collector world. All the diorama's are spectacular and once again K&C are firing on all cylinders. Honestly I'm a little overwhelmed with all the great releases and directions they're pulling me in. I'll have to sit back and think about which direction my collection will take next.

Can anyone tell me anything about the WW1 aviation stuff? Who are the pilots and what models are the aircraft?

Hey Joe,
Great work on all the picture posting, it's killing me, really sorry I missed you and the boys out there this year, just CAN'T let it happen again!

The aircraft represent Albatros D-3's from the mid 1917 period. The red craft is meant to be Manfred von Richthofen's of Jasta 11, although I believe the nose should be red and not silver. The middle craft with the heart insignia and wood color body is Werner Voss' aircraft of Jasta 2. The last Albatros with the black body and white tail is Herman Goerings plane with Jasta 27. The figures probably represent those pilots. P.S. - Just noticed the photos of the airplanes are gone, hope you got to see them, but my info stands. -- Al

The photos seem to be impressive, unfortunately I can't open any of them! Anyone else having the same problem?

did anyone from the show hear what the price point could be for the WWI aircraft and when they are to begin to be released?
Mitch

Saw them last night but just get the photobucket banner today. Maybe Joe is having a problem.

Maybe Andy got his inspiration for these aircraft when his was on a visit to the Australian War Memorial in Canberra, in mid 2009 where Brett and Howard intoduced him to our Aussie military history. Five aircraft are featured: three Allied types (SE5a fighter, Airco DH9 bomber, Avro 504K trainer) and two rare German fighter planes (Albatros D.Va. and Pfalz D.XII, both originally brought to Australia in 1919) and
showing hourly is a brilliant video / sound and light show in the main exhibition area.
