K&C's Focke Wolfe wrong type? (4 Viewers)

I collect the Hobby Master 1:72 aircraft. They have made only one model (4 versions) in 1:32 scale and do not have any immediate plans for a new 1:32 aircraft. And Corgi doesn't seem interested right now to make any new 1:32 aircraft. And I'm pretty sure Figarti isn't doing one. I don't think FOV has done one.

I can't see any company other than K&C, Figarti or Hobby Master doing a high quality job even if they get the few historical points discussed in this thread, correct. The color and weathering on the K&C model is one of the best I have seen for airplane models.

Not perfect, but I'm getting one.... I've had several wooden warbirds, have some corgi 1/32 but by far my preference is the polystone planes. My favorite is the BF-109 polystone, great detail fair weathering, it looks like a "working plane" IMHO. The P-51 is a little too clean for my liking but it's still good. The wood warbirds while a different art you might say are way too clean for me and smooth as a babies behind are the planes themselves, no rivet work or panel detail except the painted on kind. the corgi's are great for detail with removable panels but there a very limited range. All in all the polystone line is alive and well and the Butcher bird looks great though maybe not to the absolute strickest standards... I'm in.

OK - you have made your points on differences between the K&C model and what we believe to be correct historically, several times. But the last few posts are just blatant attacks for no obvious reason. It's almost like you want to keep people from buying this model to give another company time to get theirs out. Hopefully the other company will give you one and it will be perfectly correct historically, but if not, I'll help you point out the errors on that model and we can compare to see which is the better model.

I agree with Terry. Yes, there are some inaccuracies that I'm probably not happy about but I've ordered this plane and, frankly, when I have it, I'll be pretty happy that I have it. It looks to be a superb paint job and I'm looking forward to getting it. It always seems that K & C comes in for a lot of guff when a mistake is made and I suppose that should be so since they're the biggest but I'm sure other companies make mistakes. I'm sure they all try not to do so but as much we wish it wasn't the case, it does happen.
 
I can not believe I am getting one of these when I passed on so many. But , I am, then I am known for being a bit os a screwball !

It's your post which is a blatant attack. I thank Paul for having drawn my attention on the important inaccuracies of that model. And contrarily of what a member posted previously, it's not Paul who's not subtle but all of you who are assuming that he has an hidden agenda. To my knowledge, FL is not making any airplanes. Stop to be paranoid, it will be better for everybody.

BTW, I ordered the FW 190.

Good for you Harvey, I am sure you will enjoy it. As I said, it will not be the first or the last model with errors and these seem relatively minor in the grand scheme. I really do appreciate your post as well. I think your comments are quite appropriate in all regards.;)
 
I look at it this way IF another company is making 1 in 1/30 scale then i will have 2.....................:)

I have good reason to believe there is a hidden agenda and was not referring to FL.

I thank those whom see no harm in what I say.....

I have before mentioned here that I really liked the Aircraft line....much more than anything of the other products made, I guess I'm a 'plane nut' / :rolleyes: / .......and you are tooooo Count Man :p::eek::cool:

I just think it's rather easy to do the research here if you know where to look. This point doesn't attack K&C's effort like asking ' what are the research staff smoking or are they selling lipstick to pigs....

In the past I've asked anyone here why the Me-163 was allowed to sell with some wrong details to which Brad mentioned Andy getting his research from a book titled.... Warplanes of the Luftwaffe, a book that I though wasn't up to the task of 'good simple research '....very well I still bought the Me-163.

In the past it was asked by others here why the Ding Hoa's tail wheel wasn't as it should be and Terry mentioned " breakage ".... his reasoning for the Fw-190 tail wheel error as well....no problem I bought the P-51...as well....and the Hurrican, the first 3 & 4 K&C polystone plane series.

Maybe this would help.....what if some of the parts K&C used on these great plane were made of photo etch parts or plastic that need to be applied to the plane " after purchase " so there are no breakage problems. They could give us the more 'detailed' features and better products for are $.

I like the Fw-190.....BUT I must say ' politely ' it was rather poorly researched by any standard....:(
