What is the EDD of the "baby" K&C book ?

Thanks, Raymond.

Sorry: EDD stands for estimated date of delivery.

Dear Raymond,

If it just the pictures you want without much in the way of detailed text, what do you want?

Terry

The Vol 1 and 3 K&C books - in fact all that series - are the large format, coffee table books, see photo. They are 13x11". They only come hardback and with premium paper they are very nice books but expensive. They are a good format for showing the soldiers and vehicles especially, the smaller format is not as good so I tend to put one photo to a page.

The expensive is relative however, I will never get back my expenses never mind the time spent.

Also, Vol3 388 photos of the most amazing glossy sets you will never own yourself..........how much is that worth, as credit card adverts say, it is priceless (thanks to Louis and Lawrence).

Anyway, this latest format is aimed to be cheap as it is very little work in comparison. The size is 10x8" so most photos will be around 8 or 6 by 4" I guess.

The 'baby K&C books' are just thoughts, so...................what would you want to see? For example, I had almost finished a winter dio book (mixed sets not catalogue type at all) some months ago. I also wondered about featuring some of the lines in the big books that are comprehensive but very pressured for space so maybe only one photo shown in stead of many.

Would appreciate your thoughts.

Best wishes

Kevin

Complex questions. As I am likely to get the Figarti books and the K&C WW2 matt figures books, I'll give it some thought.

I know we all have different means and such but I would order the more expensive version because it will last longer, probably not be damaged as much and will, overall, look nicer. I think it's worth a little extra. Also for some reason, it's cheaper to order it the UK version.

What do you mean cheaper. Is that including taxes and more expensive shipping to the US?

From what Kevin and Louis have written, the book apparently costs less, plus if you buy the book from the UK, you don't get charged VAT.

I know it has been done before, but could some one post the link to where we can buy these books.
Thanks

But for those of us in Canada we will get charged duty, so there probably isn't any price savings.

I went into the website and checked the price using the different currencies. If you order in Pounds, it comes out to $128 but if your order in Dollars, it comes to $138. For those of you like Terry and Scott, even though you have to pay duty, wouldn't you have to pay for it whether you buy it in dollars or pounds? It sounds like you might save $10.

Thank you
What happened to volume 2 is it sold out?

Dear Damian

The K&C warbirds book is 90% done except that Louis was trying to organise an extra photoshoot for some others in other collection(s).

This book is very pressed for space already, so it will need editing, and some text writing.

The Figarti Desert War book looks cool.

I finally received my copy of the finished Glossy Volume, and I must say, kudos to Kevin (and his lovely wife), they did a great job editting, making the many changes and additions Larry and I wanted, as well as catching more errors. The Glossy volume exceeded even my expectations.

Thought I'd pull this thread up so you could see some really terrific photographs of my K&C collection, taken by Kevin Elliott, the best photographer of Toy Soldiers I've ever seen.

By the way, Kevin, what ever happened with the Volume on Modern Wars that we were 99% done with when you were last here two years ago? I thought we were going to get that one published?^&confuse
