Just some friendly advice to offer for those willing to listen.
Both of these releases are due to hit store shelves soon with the WS194 Waffen SS version and the LW043 Luftwaffe version both being limited to 250 made of each.The issue here is these are currently being bought up at the pre-order level faster than you can say "WHO DUNNITT". If any of these 2 vehicles are on your want list I would encourage jumping on the pre-order list before it is too late !!!! I ordered my Waffen SS version today. {sm3}

Can I asked how you know that?

I've had mine pre-ordered when first announced. Figured they would be in demand being so different and VW's. Ron {sm3}

Simple my Kriegsmarine friend......Low production numbers made....High demand item
Very Popular series WWII German = Sell out. For a more straight forward answer at least for here in the U.S. several of the larger and more popular K&C dealers when asked directly stated these are going quick as pre-sells. I can't say how it is going overseas in the U.K. but here in the great US of A all is well.......... Happy Collecting...The new releases are only getting Better !

I think by it's nature the 250 series will sell out quicker than normal. The RAF fuel bowser appears to be selling fast and as already sold out at K&C UK I believe.

It good that it selling well but Ive had no problem finding them for sell and you can still buy the new 88mm gun ,jagdtiger and most of the other 250 range ,when people keep saying there selling out quick.

The 88mm gun and the Jagdtiger are not part of the 250 series.

I have one 88mm gun left, no Jagdtigers left.

Mostly all of my stock on the previous 250 ranges are long gone.

Most of my allotment on the VW's and fuel trucks are presold.

So there you go.........

Its certainly not rocket science that a lower run will sell more quickly than a large run but, I am glad we have been so well informed about the series.

The 250 range by its nature is meant to create excitement and speed up sales and, on the whole its working they do get snapped up from some quickly but, its easy to see that all are still knocking around and are available if you want to get them. Some will be more popular than others.

I think the models that K&C has so far choosen would have been popular regardless of number and limited. Look whats been done, fuel bowsers, tilly's all things which collectors have been asking for

I don't know what the big issue is about the 250 range as most of whats coming from K&C is limited in number and with the recent announcement about lower runs even the stuff thats not given the official title of limited is really limited.

Looking back at the last seven years or so, there is not much, that a collector could not get if they wanted with a quick search of dealers or the web (well, depending on their wallet size). I think panic sales and collectors telling others they should get it quick is not really helpful though their right, adds more unecessary pressure on some who already face difficult monthly purchasing options.
Mitch

Those who get a set feel lucky those who don't will miss out on something but, will be able to buy something else from their wants list. Not everyone can have every set its pretty much like a lottery I will have stuff someone else wants and they will probably have something I want.

I wouldn't engage in panic buying as I'm sure these will be easily available. The earlier 250s are probably sold out because many probably bought extra to sell on eBay, where there has been a glut and selling under retail. People won't make the same mistake twice.

Brad, I think some will make the same mistake twice...some will not....Panic buying is not the way to go

I haven't seen any of this "panic buying" Frank, just collectors who want one of each for themselves.

Although there are some who sell on Ebay from time to time because collecting is a process afterall..................

Yes George it does appear despite the recent climate people still have money for the hobby they love. I remember questions about whether the Jagdtiger would sell but it too as you say seems to be shifting nicely, I know K&C UK have sold lots. With the 250 series it comes down in the end to how much you want it and how important you think it will be in your collection. When I saw the new RAF Bowser I knew had to have it for my airfield, and talking to Tony Neville a guy of course like yourself George who sells these things day in and day out I knew they were going fast on preorders so I got in there day one and glad I did as it now says sold out on their website. We are all adults of course and make our own choices, some may call it panic buying whilst others may think they are merely acting quickly to secure a model they want from their favourite producer, early bird and all that:wink2:.

Cheers

Rob

Here is an excellent case in point coming directly from a well established K&C dealer.
In all fairness then let's check back around mid July to see how the VW's are doing.
I chose to pre-order mine to avoid E-bay as we all know any 250 series release will
wind up there, the question is at what price then ???

And of course in exactly the same way we can all collect what we want, we are free to collect in the way we want. If some of us want to preorder or ' panic buy' (can't say there's any panic involved to be honest-you just hit the order button{sm4}) then thats just fine. In the case of the VW's I wouldn't be surprised if they were still around in July at all, because personally speaking I don't think its as desirable as the Bowser which I would expect to sell quicker because it really has a place in the RAF range perhaps more so than the VW in the German range, but then again there are folk who will buy any vehicle in German colours so who knows.

My pleasure to keep you informed.

Sorry, you are wrong there Mitch, reason being is "most" of what's coming from K & C is in fact not limited.

Key word there being "most".

Also, lower runs now do not in any way, shape or form mean more will not be made going forward, but an SL or 250 series are made in exact quantities and once they are sold out, that's that.

So for example if the initial run on the upcoming Priest is say 600 and they sell out, K & C will then go back and run more if they feel the need, whereas an SL or 250 series is etched in stone as to how many are made.

Big difference.

Funny how somethings don't change on this forum and simple question about pruduct sell get into I know better than you thead ,make for a boring forum I'm sorry to say .I'm move interested in the history of the item than if k&C only make 250 models

But Neil, the thread was started by someone just giving us a heads up about the 250 range! ^&grin:wink2:

I think it's reasonable to have dealers coming onto such a thread to say if the product is selling or not, we can say what we think but the dealers are on the front line as it were.
