To pee or not to pee That is the question whether tis nobler our TS urinate or not
Mitch

The new British Infantry look great - glad to see that they are 3rd div so will go with previous "Tommy" patrol figures. Can anyone ID the div insignia on the Humber, another lovely model - looks Polish, however I thought the Poles wore their berets in a slightly different style from the british.

If its ok to make goose stepping NAZI's its ok to show soldiers peeing and pooing in my mind......some style of figure in my book.

Some of the Tommies look good. I have been waiting for several years for additions to go with DD 64. I also like the newspaper seller.

However, the soldier urinating, as with the German, defecating a few years back, is in poor taste, low class and shouldn't have been made.

Excellent point Brad! what a uselles figure....{sm2}

Brad, I don't have to defend it??? I was just putting my view. I thought folk were interested in ' real history figures' , do people think that Soldiers didn't have to relieve themselves then? Its as much part of life as death is, we have dead, wounded figures all the time. I think we should all be allowed to put forth our opinion shouldn't we, do we need to be shouted down by those who don't agree? Its worrying that you either have to prosecute or defend a set /figure/AFV, why can we not discuss them in an open minded way. I ask again, why does a release need defending, surely you either buy it or you don't?.

Rob

Rob,

We should all be allowed to put our opinion forth on the matter and following Scott's (the britfarmer) admonition, I don't think much more needs to be said by me. To say that you don't consider a figure in good taste is not shouting down. If you can find a rational way to discuss a figure involved in excretory functions, then by all means do so.

Since we are interested in "real history" as you describe it, then I look forward to the day when it show soldiers committing atrocities or raping women because after that is "real history," is it not?

I could say more but in the interests of our long friendship, I will not.

Brad

And in my book that was a argument was it not ?????

Rulings please Brad V Rob about peeing figure..............................^&grin

Brad, in your post you accused me of defending this figure, my point is why does anyone have to defend it, you either like it or not. Your post is the kind of post that (most definitely not of design) perpetuates this god awful bitterness and bile that gets spewed out on a regular basis by people who are pro or anti producers. I don't honestly believe that anyone on this forum would REALLY believe the figure of a soldier urinating is as offensive as a soldier raping a woman, you don't really believe that do you Brad, not the same thing at all I suggest. If we want to take it down to pedantics, every soldier had to urinate, but not every soldier raped someone.

But anyway enough is enough I say, each to their own, buy don't buy, whatever.

Again a big thanks to Joe for his stirling efforts

Rob

NOT GUILTY M'LUD!

It was a difference of opinion, not an argument, you want next door for an argument:wink2:

Rob

As Mitch implies each to their own on this. I don't find this offensive in any way at all. First of all you can't see anything can you, its a guy fiddling with his trousers above the picture. Are we REALLY and I mean as adults REALLY offended by a figure of a man who is either about to or just fininshed urinating...really?? Secondly who on Gods earth would worry about someone urinating on the leader of the worst regime in History anyway. Finally if you find this sort of thing offensive how on earth can you look at dio's featuring tortured prisoners being led off, or the parading of Nazi ideals or German troops marching into French villages and post ' Nice pics' ' Great dio' etc etc doesn't make sense to me.

Just my views though guys and each to their own, perhaps I'm too broadminded!^&grin

Rob

I have to agree with Rob. I think both sets are realistic and funny - especially compared to the Berghof sets, or civilian prisoners being led away by the Gestapo.

Piss on. ^&grin

There you go,Cricket,something worth arguing about. :rolleyes2::wink2:{sm4}^&grin{eek3}

And I want some !! very nice if I must say so and they're not Aussies. A Humber as well please!!{bravo}}
Wayne.

What I don't like is the black seam lines on all the uniforms. Just keep them a solid color like they used to and should be.

Thanks for taking all the super pics and posting them up Joe, really appreciate it as I never get to go in person to Toy Soldier Shows. :smile2: Lots of new pieces to be appreciated and looked forward to for sure. In particular the new Humber is exquisite, another must have for my collection. The walking Tommy patrol is sorely needed as DD064 needs reinforcements as my Commonwealth Armoured column is getting longer! :cool: The medic and radioman are standouts for me. I'd really like to see a Chaplain someday somewhat similar to the one from the Bulge series. :wink2: The P-40 and T-34's look great. The diorama's as always are great. I think the Italian one has the best groundwork as that blown bridge and sunken boat are awesome. Good work as always K&C.

PPS ( get it! ) The polystone pecker is NOT on my buy list but it did give me a chuckle.
