Holy crap! Is that looking awesome or what? I'm going to be one lucky person! Thanks Jeff.

Hi Jeff,

Your work is superb! I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing your work progress from one stage to another. In my opinion, you have proven yourself to be an outstanding toy soldier artist! My compliments to you!

Also, Brad, you are indeed one lucky person!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat.

I thank you and all the others that have commented on my painting, I'm not sure artist is the correct term that I would use, but being a draughtsman I like neat and tidy lines!

I hope to start on the riders soon.

Regards

Jeff

Jeff: The work you did for Brad's gun team is outstanding. Nice job and thanks for the in progress reports and pictures. I really enjoyed following it. What color Green is used on gun and limber? Humbrol dark green? John

John..

Thanks, I still have to paint the riders yet but work seems to be getting in the way again.

I mixed equal parts of Humbrol dark green and black to get the deeper green required.

Jeff

Brad and Guys.

I has been a while (again )

I have just started on the 3 riders (first coat of the main colour) and once I get going will post a few photos.

Again sorry for the delay.

Jeff

Have enjoyed watching your progress. Was wondering what info you have on the harness? I have a couple of teams I need to make harnesses for, but have no idea how to do it.

Thanks . . .

Al.

Welcome to the forum and I'm glad you have enjoyed this so far.

The harnesses are supplied with the castings, but I haven't added them yet, but this is how they are supplied. The chains have eye-bars(?) each end which locate into the little rings that are fixed into the horse harness, these are shown painted silver on the finished horse. This is the Fusilier Miniatures painted set showing (my badly) described arrangement.

I hope this has helped.

Regards

Jeff

The first colour for the riders is the blue of the Jacket and Breeches. I had to mix black with the dark blue to darken it up, as you can see the undercoat shows through in places and a second coat will be necessary.

I have just given the figures a second coat and painted the small section of saddle that is cast on the figure. More colours and photo's tomorrow.

Spent a few half hours here and there and the figures have had their second coat of dark blue for the jacket and breeches. Also added some of the detail so that the head and headress are complete.
