We just did an upgrade of our software, and somehow the 'editor' function for posts is not available. We have people working on it...for now, we'll just get to post without formatting!

The editor problem may only apply to Internet Explorer 9.

Let me know if it's an issue for you!

As of right now, the text editor appears to be working properly.

The only bug is that you are not able to edit your posts...I am working on that!

I understood it to be a message to indicate that the text is being saved as we write it, though not submitted to the database, as when we click the Submit Reply button, but to a buffer. The Padre can probably fill us in more.

I noticed it, after the last round of updates/maintenance was carried out. The Reply pane is laid out a little differently, too. I took it to be a function of how the current version of the page is read by my browser (IE8).

Prost!

Thanks for the reply

I am at a loss for how offensive posts could occur on a technical thread?!? Our wonderful hosts have been handling tech problems wonderfully latly.....
Honni soit quit mal y pense,

My understanding is that the Auto Save feature keeps track of what you are typing, so if something crashes before you can post all is not lost.

Hi Peter,
I have forgotten how to load pictures to my album and or threads in this new picture up load.
The pictures I have are around 380 kb each and the forum´s upload engine only takes files around 40-60 kb.....How do I need to go around reducing the pictures to load them. If I just try to shrink the images they become very small and of poor quality.

You could try what I do. I load my photos onto my machine, then edit them using a photo/image editor. In my case, I use MS Paint.

I usually have a lot of empty space around the perimeter of the photo, so I crop this, leaving the subject. I also resize the photos, to 1000 pixels height, letting the application set the width. Then I save the edited photo. That usually gets me down past the file size limits, not just for Treefrog, but some of the other forums where I post.

I also use Photobucket to store my photo files online, and Photobucket has editing functions. If you use a photo-hosting site, I imagine it also has some editing functionality, too.

Hope that helps, prosit!

Hi, Sandor, how are you accessing the forum? For example, are you using a laptop or desktop, and browsing, or are you accessing the Internet and the forum on some other device? What browser or other app are you using to surf?

Prost!

Google Chrome on a laptop. Any help would be appreciated- now I can access some pictures, but only some.
Thanks,
Sandor

I have google chrome at home and work and have no issues viewing pictures at either location.
