Now at last here is one total view and with it I want to mention the only complaint I have and that is that the different colored lines on the flag are not sharply edged. I did expect more precision for a miniature in this price range.
Looking forward to the comments of fellow collectors who are starting this line.
Konrad

Must compliment you once again on your photos Konrad and thanks for taking the time in photographing them they provide us with a vidid image of the set.

Thanks for sharing Konrad, I am glad you are pleased with your new figures. I do agree with you about the flag as well.

Gentle Friends,

Konrad and Scott have noted the same problem with the flag. I, too, have observed this disappointing problem. It is especially disappointing when comparing the application of the paint on the flag to the nicely painted human figures. I am interested to learn if others who have purchased this elephant see the same lack of quality painting on the flag? Or, is the absence of crisp lines on the flag a flaw that only appears on a few of the Britains Jaipur elephants?

I look forward to reading your observations and opinions.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Lighten up, Francis. :) That flag would be a bear to paint by hand. I'm betting that the alternative to accepting a little human error here is adding $25 to the piece. OF course personal observation is the best, but it does not look that bad for a production piece in the pictures. I'd chalk it up to a flag waving in the breeze - which distortions could cause something very similar.

Hi Guys,

I have been messing around with my displays and have then semi recontructed so I thought I should share some photos. I have decided to display my sets for the Durbar in Divisions of like units ie Cavalry

So I hope you enjoy them. I will take some better photos this weekend I just figured I needed to show some of you what I am working on.

Dave

A wonderful collection Dave, thanks for sharing it with us. At first I did n't notice but after a second inspection and close scrutiny I noticed the Jaipur elephant and Lord Kitchener. They don't look out of place at all in your photos.

Looking forward to seeing more of your treasures.

Scott.

Theres no doubt it made your day Scott making it another Christmas day. Now looking forward to seeing the elephant on parade with your new additions.

Hi Scott,

Congratulations for owning the entire set of the Britains newly released Delhi Durbar series! I think you will find collecting the Durbar is a greatly satisfying experience. If you are able to continue collecting the series in such a manner as to keep it complete, you will experience an even greater sense of pride. My favorites, so far, are the Elephant Guards and the Lady. They are really nice figures.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Made myself a little backdrop today annd then finally put all my Durbar pieces together. Enjoy !!

Taking a break from the Green Bay Packers vs Cardinals game - talk about ugly :(. Anyway Scott I enjoyed seeing your photos of your Delhi Durbar collection - very nice.

Thanks for your comments gentlemen :) The Durbar sure is fun to collect and I am looking forward to more releases this year. Unfortunately due to the type of figures it doesn't really lend itself to creating a moving display (story line) like I have with my Zulus but it is fun regardless.

Dave the backdrop was basically photos of buildings printed off of the net and then glued to a piece of foam core that I had painted blue. The base was just a piece of foam core covered in glue then sprinkled with sand.

Cheap and cheerful I think :D :D :D
