Capt Bigelow is ordered to hold his position at the Trostle Farm "at all hazards" (to the last man), Gettysburg, July 2nd 1863. His battery is overrun by Barksdale's bgde but he buys enough time to allow the Union army to establish a new defensive line on Cemetery Ridge.

A special thanks to my friend Steve/29 Let's Go for sculpting the beautiful barn displayed in the scene.
Bugler Pvt Reed ignored orders by his battery commander to go to the rear for safety and led a severely wounded Bigelow to safety. He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his actions 30 yrs after the battle. Chris

Great job Chris, very faithful to the orginal painting................this battery was originally along wheatfield road, then withdrew to their position in front of the farm.................

Thanks guys. No one makes a mounted artillery bugler although WB makes one on foot. I was able to convert a KC cavalry bugler for the scene. Chris

Looks great Chris, bet you had a lot of fun setting this up !:salute:::salute:::salute::

Fantastic! Wonderful work all around. The brick barn looks amazing. Nice conversion on the bugler. Wow, what an excellent composition. Thank you for sharing. I love seeing scenes like this.
