Martyn,

My set which has a green base for NWF, but box says Boxer Rebellion. Maybe we should trade sets!

Hi Lawrence

Bring it over the next time you visit the UK;)

Hi Brian

Nice couple of sets you have there:cool:

The casualty set is indeed FW1. ZULU WAR, the first in a series of casualty sets for various Campaigns.

The stretcher bearers were set#ZS27, but also appeared in set#EQ30-VICTORIAN M.A.S.H. and the later set#EQ30A - FRONT LINE DRESSING STATION

Same here. I've got a blue set marked Boxer Rebellion, but the bases are painted a very dark grey, almost black, like someone had painted them green and added another coat of grey. I still think the blue uniforms with red trim look better than the more authentic khaki-clad Indian troops.

Here are some pictures of my set showing the figures and gun emplacement. The grey on the bases appears to be the only colour ever used.

Just out of interest what type of gun emplacement do you have with your sets, as you can see my one is a damaged wall

You know i think that len used both khaki and blue for the boxer sets or maybe his people decided to use blue for the boxer sets . I do know that i have seen real pictures of indian artillery in china and they look to be khaki but i also know i have seen kc sets for the boxer line in blue. Either way i wish i had a set

Technically, the Indian Army in China wore khaki, but I still prefer the blue-clad soldiers. My khaki artillery set was missing the emplacement, but my blue boys came with it, although I need to glue it back together. Needless to say, I got them second hand, although the dark grey paint looks like it came from the factory. Like I say, probably someone at Trophy thought they were correcting a mistake. If I can ever get a camera that I can operate, I'll post pictures of my sets.

Set#SS54 - THE NAVAL BRIGADE - Officer mounted on walking Camel

Hi Martyn,

Lovely set.....hope to see the troopers next.

The box looks pristine.

Thanks, Raymond.:)

It is getting hard to deny the charm of Len's dromedaries. They look so serene (he should've done a series where they were kicking, spitting on, and biting their handlers). But I've got enough Trophy to lust after without falling for the camels.

That would have been different:eek:

Many thanks Michael, they are pricey......when you can find them, and finding them is the problem

Martyn,

I think it would be cool to have a series showing Anglos getting used to their mounts and pack camels, with the resultant spitting and bucking. I should probably post this idea on the Beau Geste forum, though.
