JW,
Congrats! What a great set! I like finding by "old fashion way" myself :D

Hey Guys,
I do not have many new additions to brag about, but here is one of them: HS5 Young Winston mint in original box! This was not an Ebay find but rather from "secret" location in rural Arkansas!!;) Any input on if this set is harder to find them some of the Sudan stuff? I have some other new Trophy sets I will be posting soon (also from rural Arkansas). It is always very exciting to find it the old fashion way!

Very nice set John, well done:cool::cool:

Cheers

Martyn:)

More new arrivals:
1. Indian Regiment... I guess these figures came from two different sets based on a shape of their bases. Martyn would know :)
2. Afghan war Berkshire regiment, from two sets as well but famous Bobby dog came again!
3. Early Indian Artillery and two Dragoons figures came from Mike Norris. Martyn could you look them up in your catalogs, please.
4. I checked my Victoria gunboat boat figures and they came with white bases, I also have the sitting soldiers in red tunics, green tunics and in very early sets they came in khaki uniform.
More pics will be posted later.

Al, these were available to buy as individual figures
15th BENGAL INFANTRY (LUDIHANA SIKHS)
IA2 British Officer with flag
IA8 Sepoy standing firing
IA11 Sepoy kneeling firing
IA12 Sepoy standing with bugle

2. Afghan war Berkshire regiment, from two sets as well but famous Bobby dog came again!

No trace I’m afraid, I believe the Indian Army figures were part of the original ELEPHANT SEIGE GUN SET# EQ14

I've just spoken to Mike and these did come from the early Siege gun set

I believe that the same figures also came with the Indian Army screw gun set. My Dad has both the siege gun and the screw gun sets, and both have these Indian artillerymen with sticks or crops. This may not be official, however, as my dad got a lot of mixed and matched sets in the early days.

Cheers,
Sam

Hey,
Here is the rest of what I found "the old fashion way." Every set is in mint condition with original box. I was so excited my wife had to talk me down after wards! ;) I really like the Mexican lancer. The Egyptian Hand to Hand set has the most out of scale Trophy piece (the amazon Bedouin slashing with his sword) I have ever seen! Anyone else have this set?

Lovely sets John.:cool::cool:

I found the figure at the London Show

arab.jpg

He originally came as part of set#HT5 which I believe is marked on your box

Here I have matched him up with a 1ST LIFE GUARDS OFFICER

Cheers

Martyn:)

Thanks Martyn,
He is quite a figure. The Bedouin champion for sure;). I though you might have an example in your collection:D

Hi John

He could be the Heavyweight champ of the Arab world:D

Good to see you also found "At The Guns 2", along with those great Alamo sets:cool:

Cheers

Martyn,
Yes, I was happy to find at the guns #2. In fact I called the "guy" and I am going to pick up another Crimean piece and the Texan War "Come and Take it Gun." I really like how trophy did some of the Texan/Mexican war figures. A lot of character, stove top hats etc! take care

3. A water barrel set, not sure its number, but I always seen it with two red tunic figures.
More pictures are coming...

Very nice Al

The Royal Artillery Field Gun battery is an early set
ZEQ2 - ZULU WAR or
SEQ5 - EGYPT and THE SUDAN

The Indian Mutiny set is great;)

Your Water barrel set appears to have figures from two different sets:
SEQ7 - EGYPT and THE SUDAN - Scots Guards and
AEQ11 - KABUL TO KANDAHAR - Second Afghan War - 66th Regiment

There is a similar water barrel set on Ebay at the moment, the figures are in red

Cheers

Martyn:)

Saga continues with X-mas sets.

This "Winter in Wonder land" set came in BIG RED BOX and I have never seen it before. I seems I put "Chestnut cart" in previous picture by mistake and have extra duck and snowman .I wonder how many of these sets have been made , this one is #18. Martyn could you please check in a catalog or ask Len when you have a chance.
Thank you.
Al
