Here is a unique figure Trophy produced for the Tel el-Kebir series, as far as I am aware he did not appear in any other. The figure was available in set# TD 7 and the Big Box set THE BATTLE OF TEL el-KEBIR

As you can see he is a Sergeant of the Gordon Highlanders with one foot raised, about to climb over the wooden Egyptian defences

Nice figures, Brad. A gent with notebook is quite scarce. If you need more T&C figures I can be your "doctor" :). I have the same "illness" and I know very well how treat it! :p
Unfortunately "medicine" could be quite expensive sometimes.
Al

Hi Al

The brother of the gent with the notebook will be appearing at the London Show;)

Cheers

Martyn,

If you have figures that you wish to sell please let me know, unless you don't want the bother of shipping, which I certainly understand.

Thank you all for the comments. Tom had mentioned to me yesterday that the figures with the oval bases were early issues. I have seen the soldier on eBay but not the others.

A more general question. Was the T & C series supposed to show life in London in the 19th Century or English life in general.

These are the sets I got over the week-end, as "the first installment" of mid-size collection I discovered.

1. Dragon Crest DC25 "Pony Express"

"Wanted: Young, skinny, wirey fellows not over 18. Must be expert riders willing to risk death daily. Orphans preferred. Wages $25 per week."
-Pony Express advertisement, 1860

2. WW1 "Bronco Buster"

3. TD8 "Afghan Pathans"

Raymond,

Thanks and thanks for the info. I will check the kitbag for his name.

Brad

1. T&C early set C34 "A Lady with 5th Lancer", it was probably a special order, because one I already have is less colorful.

2. Legend and History Series DC4 "King Arthur of the Round Table he stands glazing at the sword EXCALIBUR embedded in rock

3. This is Knight has TM not D mark, I am not sure about his name.
