Sharp, crisp, and straight lines and precise, just like the LAH themselves. Your dio does the LAH justice.
Great skill (and courage :rolleyes2:) on the re-worked Heydrich and Bormann figures. Yep’ the black is much better.

Larry...

Cheers for that

LAH Holiday season? Where are the LAH collectores gone? No news? No new displays? Nothing? ^&confuse

Well, I'm currently building the "Luitpold Hall" {sm3}
I had to scale it down a little but its coming up very nice. I'm still waiting for some copper to arrive to build the flags.
Pictures will follow soon.

Oliver

Looking forward to it what dimensions did you finally go with?
Mitch

My humble collection of LAH 'personalities' and a small group of SA and Hitlerjugend. I've added a few more pieces since these photos were taken including some retired Hitlerjugend I snagged on ebay. I'm planning to build a Speer-esque parade ground and will continue to add marching figures now and again. My other half is not too keen on seeing these displayed so I thought I'd share with a more appreciative audience.

I like it a lot…… Good job.

In my best Cheech Marin voice….”but ya gotta get the band, man…..” It adds a whole new dimension to a great set you got going on there.

Also, if you are looking for the retired motorcycle combo, KingX still has it for $125.00 street price. Look for it under their retired Berlin 38 section.

As a side note;

Hello everyone. I’m new to the forums and to collecting in general (I’ve only been actively collecting for the past 2 weeks, though I am sort of familiar with the hobby since my brother has been an active collector for years) and am starting to actively building my first collection from the Berlin 38 range.

I’ll post some pictures of my starter “Berlin 38” collection after I return tomorrow from Historicon (being held at the Fredericksburg VA Expo & Conference Center). Not a true Toy Solider Show per say but I’m still excited…

Derek

Welcome Derek, to the TFF.
I hope you find the hobby exciting and rewarding,as 1000's of use do here. Looking forward to see yor handiwork.

Also welcome to 4737 Carlin!
I see this is your first post and it is "FANTASTIC". You have quite a LAH collection already. -- Larry

PS: Not so humble of a collection either!!!

Thanks Derek. The LAH band and motorcycle combo are both on my wish list. I started off with just a couple of pieces (Hitler & Churchill!) and was so impressed with the quality of these models I'm now well and truly hooked. I'll keep a look out for your collection photos.

Hi Larry and thanks. These spend most of the time packed away in boxes at the moment. I've been a forum reader for some time but decided my collection is now worthy of a posting. Carlin.

@4737 Carlin

a very nice collection you have there already. Keep going :smile2:

Thanks for the comments guys. As I began by collecting personality figures I've an abundance of leaders and a lack of troops at the moment. I'm gonna keep adding when I can and will hopefully end with a respectable parade for the diorama I'm planning to make. As you know, it can take a fair bit of financial commitment this hobby - I'm also into collecting First Legion Stalingrad at the moment, inspired by some of the outstanding dio's i've seen on this forum. Carlin.

No problem. Mind even just buying a couple here and a couple there quickly builds an LAH display. Don't be too concerned with other collections yours is already respectable and build it at your own pace.

As promised- here are some pictures of the beginning of my LAH collection. Like I sated previously I’ve only begin collecting three weeks ago but was fortunate to find a lot of the retired stuff on eBay without having to pay through the nose. I got some good deals and paid close to retail or a slight premium for most of the items. In fact, I managed to score the band for $150 less retail because the box wasn’t in pristine condition (through still serviceable). The only items I took a hit on were the viewing stand and Eagle.

I’ve got some great ideas for this range……to be continued.
