We got a dusting last night, and it's in the 30's with 45 mph wind gusts today. I guess Mother Nature didn't get the memo that it's spring.

It's worse than I thought. Opened the front door and realized this isn't a dusting. It's at least a foot of snow. Put on the winter boots. Get the snowblower out for the first time this year. I thought April fools was 3 days ago. The weather office says this is the biggest Spring snowstorm in 40 years

I remember in 1980 in my last year of school in Springfield, Massachusetts it snowed like that in April and then it was gone the next day.

Some brutal winds over the weekend but no snow. I don't recall the winds blowing like that in any situation other than a hurricane.

And as Winter can't seem to let go of its awful grip here - I look up to this outside just a few minutes ago!

I will gladly send this anywhere......

Not much better here Julie, I had snow on my truck this morning. It has cleared now but still chilly.

Glad I live in the "Banana Belt" !

Record cold and a couple inches of snow this weekend. First time I can remember getting snow after mowing the lawn.

The forecast here called for 1 to 2 inches, possibly 3, but it hasn't started yet, and if it does, the ground is warm enough, the sun is high enough, that by this afternoon, it'll go over to rain and be gone.

Remember, the change of seasons isn't like flipping a light switch, no matter what Warner Bros. may have told us.

Prost!

They were calling for 5 to 8 inches here Sunday morning through Monday morning, but have scaled it back to a dusting as the storm is moving south and out to sea.................absolutely unreal, I've got tickets for opening day, don't ever recall a ballgame being snowed out before.................{eek3}

How 'bout it? The Iron Pigs started their season on the road with a series in Syracuse. The games had to be shifted to Allentown, because of the snow in Syracuse. How can a team located in upstate New York not handle snow?

What was worse was that there are renovations taking place at the Iron Pigs' park (Coca-Cola Park, but affectionately known to us locals as Taxpayer Park, since we paid for it), and they aren't finished, so, no tickets were sold, because they can't let anyone into the park yet.

And today's game was postponed. We wound up getting no accumulation, just wet flakes that melted when they hit the ground. Around 5, the sun came out.

All you can do about the weather is dress for it.

Prost!

Hi Julie,

That is quite a view. Is the parking area in the photo the Treefrog parking lot?

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Pat - it is! View from the front door of my 'office'/showroom.
Not much to look at out here in Eyota......view out the window by my desk is now the side of a metal building. Super exciting!

I saw a television show about them recently with footage filmed in Nashville. Awful. They are apparently attracted by sound so if you are using something like a power tool outside you get swarmed. We have had the menace of "stink bugs" for the last few years. They apparently came over from Asia and they have no natural predators. On sunny days hundreds of them come out on the windows. If you stomp them they leave all manner of stinky liquid.

We get a few stink bugs now and then. Not really annoying. Several years ago when the weather got warm, we got tons of ladybugs. Somehow they stopped coming. Harmless creatures.
