Could not have said it better.....a few pics of the stands covering the cottage industry are present in some of the pics and also quicky ones on stalls with old collectables......but again they were not the limelight......

I think the guys went to a lot of trouble to cover as much as possible in my view, Jeff must spend hours looking through the lens of his camera rather than just browsing so you can all get a view of whats going on.

Fully agree Rob,
What the local representatives of us Froggers on site have done and did at the past fairs is far more than any of the segment magazines could or would ever have done.....
The best part is that they do it for fun and so that us, those that for some reason and or distance, are not able to be present at the event can also see and share some of the goodies that are out there....
I my self most of the times get to know of great new stuff coming to the market via their lenses....
A great example is the Great Foreign Legion set that will be released shortly by TGN.....The amount of details and discussions amongst us and TGN has been incredible with even additional historic data exchange with TGN that, if it were not for the pictures, would not have happened.....
We have to thank them a lot......
Having said that a few pics of the smaller stalls if squeezed in the series would be nice......Who nows if a new cottage industry Picasso will be found......:):smile2::rolleyes::rolleyes:;)

Hi,
Do you know where one can find these figures? The Thomas Gunn website does not list them.
Thanks,
MikeNick

The figures are I believe due in January so probably not be on the website yet, keep checking the site and maybe sign up for email notifications, they send these out on a regular basis.

Cheers

Rob

I want to say a big thank you to all the UK members and others for the excellent coverage of the recent December 2012 London show. You guys are always outstanding in bringing to the forum a very comprehensive photo-report of the show.

To Rob, Jeff, Martyn, Andy, Simon, Bob as well as Dave (our moderator).....much appreciated. If I have inadvertently left anyone out, my sincere apologies and I thank you too.

Rob.....I shall wait patiently for you to publish your Amazon bestseller "Eat only Chocholate and Pasta for a slimmer you". (I love pasta too.....^&grin:tongue:)

Raymond :)

Yes I do and even then there's only so much you can photograph in the time available or I'll still be there. ^&confuse

Yes that's true mate, you are torn because you want to take as many pics as possible for the good folk on the forum whilst also taking in all around you and chatting with the suppliers/collectors. I think between us all we covered it, I'll try to take more next year.

Rob

Well I can understand that but the question is why no pictures of collectables / plastic ?
One dealer had these fantastic 54mm painted plastic Samurai figures for sale, but I don't think they got covered at all.

My point being that ignoring Steve Weston, Bill Kingsman et al gives a misleading impression of what the show should be about.
From some of the comments I heard I think a few of the second hand/collectable dealers will begin to move away.{sm2}

It sounds as though you were there. Why not take a camera and take some photos to post on the forum?
It's nothing to do with multiple tables, colour brochures, metal / plastic or attempting to provide an accurate impression of the show.
I don't go to the show to purely take photos, I go for myself. If I can get a load of photos in the process and then spend ages resizing them and posting them, then that's a bonus for others, but it's not a duty bound service.
Simon
