Last photo from me - The Treefroggers on parade.
(From left to right) - Rob, Steve, Andy, Bob, Jeff, Dave, Simon, Richard (and front) Harrie.
The pub was just round the corner and no more than a stones throw from the Centre. No Barmaid, but the beer was a lot better (and more choice) than the Royal National.
Great to see you all guys :salute::
Jeff
Rob, Great Job on getting the London show pics thread up and running :salute:: ......Quick ! From the looks of the main show floor King&Country UK had one big display :salute::
Yeah takes a day to set up and 4hrs to take down!!
It's easier to take down because Rob nicked half of it and has in loaded in a truck out back! {sm4}
After Rob's late afternoon V&T session in The Steam Passage Tavern, Islington (and what a super pub that was) his waist grew at least another two centimetres. ^&grin
Rob always a pleasure to see you mate as it was with Simon; Jeff; Andy; Richard; Steve (and his charming wife); Harrie and the guest of honor one of our esteemed US moderators Dave. A splendid bunch of gentlemen and I agree with Rob this regular meet of us TS nerds is now just as important as the show.....in fact its the highlight of my London visits. Gentle jocular leg pulling over the Hobgoblins etc but nothing acrimonius and what a great pity that a few individuals on here don't practice what we experience every time we meet.... instead of their long and boring disagreements we all have to frequently suffer on the forum.
Buster:- Yes I did make it in the end but only because I personally know the skipper of HM Submarine Astute who gave me and Trudi a sailing lift up through a submerged Devon (now a sea) and deposited us at Reading where we caught a landing craft up the Thames to Westminster.
Until the next time lads and many thanks again
Bob
Bob, glad to hear your connections in the Royal Navy paid off for you. I understand they have cannibalism thing pretty much under control now-a-days and that rumors of it still going on are grossly exaggerated. Anyway glad you made it and hope you got back home okay. :wink2:^&grin
B.
Thanks all for the pics.
Being too busy at my stand I was not even able to see all that stuff in such details.
Michel

This was for me anyhow was the highlight of the whole show!!.....I still have mixed feelings over the new location, and i tried very hard to spend lots of money but this time i just could"nt find what i wanted to buy....Don"t get me wrong there was oodles of great stuff, but not what i wanted at this moment!!.....But no matter, the usual gathering of Froggers in the pub was more than worth the journey as far as i am concerned.....Great to share a couple of hours with all you guys..i loved every minute!!!!!!!. A pleasure to meet your lovely wife Bob, and yes she managed to talk talk me into visiting Camden Lock market, which i enjoyed immensely!!!....And Simon i am still competely jealous over your Italian building...

Gentle Friends,
It has been a huge pleasure to view all the photos of the London Show. I never fail to be mesmerized by the amazing quantity of excellent toy soldier figures. When you add the Treefroggers' special liquid luncheon to the schedule, you know the day is very, very special.
Thanks for all the wonderful photos and thanks for sharing your fellowship with us. I appreciate it very much!
Warmest personal regards,
Pat
So my friends for the glossy guys those are the best of my photos. I took the ones of the Aztecs for Pat because of a discussion we had a while ago on a book he was reading and his growing interest in that era.
Now on to the loot that came home with me. I left with some Sarum Soldiers, 3 Indian Army Officers of unknow origin and a mounted Rifle Officer also of unknown make and a wonderful Nile Steam Boat that was photographed for the show article coming in a future TS magazine issue. I saw it when they were shooting the photo and knew I had to have it.(I didnt take a clear photo of it an will do so once I get it set up) I also brought home several catalogues from various makers who will be seeing some business from me in the near future. I was slightly disapointed that two makers were not there, Marlborough and White Tower. Was really hoping to get some Saxons for a shield wall.
I can see that Asset and Yeomanry Miniatures will be getting a call about some of their amazing sets.
Anyway I hope you all enjoy the photos.
Dave
