And for a size comparison with what has to be for me, the figure of the year...

That's my lot I'm afraid. Got distracted after taking the first batch of shots by toys and beer n' stuff.

Thanks much, Simon, for your round of another batch of wonderful photos.
The TM Terrain stuff is very, very good.
Love you "pickup", what looks to me like the section of a monastery. A beautiful pieces.
What I also like very much, are the Vietnamese items that Dave made, the hutches, the rice field sections and the vegetation pieces.
You and all the other guys did a terrific job covering the show. Can't get any better :wink2:
Konrad

Gazza,
Sorry mate, but he's got you in one :tongue:
Anyone that can't bring themselves to purchasing a perfectly servicable Huey, well.....:wink2:

I think you posted somewhere about having a short life expectancy because of your addiction to toy soldiers taking over the house and your wife being none to pleased, so the Huey has my name against it on the will ...right ^&grin^&grin^&grin

No probs mate, it can join the other 11 I still need to convince you to get. Dust off 'Apocolypse Now' and you'll be reaching for the phone and credit card before you can say, 'I love the smell of melting Visa cards first thing in the morning. Smells like.......bankruptcy' :wink2:

Feel fortunate that I refrained from taking a shot 2 minutes before. Tony Neville pole-dancing around the K&C posts wasn't pretty....{sm2}

That's quite a tandem: Tony and Rob {eek3}

Rob looks like the cat who swallowed the canary. Either that or he just visited the pub :rolleyes2:

My goodness I don't know where to begin! :p Thanks to all for the wonderful job you do documenting these extraordinary events. The comraderie the Treefroggers share at these events is obviously something special and to see in person all these wonderful pieces from all the various manufacturers ( many in dioramas ) is just something that can't be duplicated online and with pictures I'm sure. I just wish I could attend one of these events but unfortunately being here in Canada we don't see anything regarding toy soldiers at this scale. Secondly I still work for a living and can't jump on a plane to attend one of these events. One day I hope. In the meantime best wishes to all and thanks again for being so passionate about toy soldiers like myself. Cheers all. {sm4}

P.S. Perhaps its a good thing I can't get to shows like this.........I'd be stuck in London forever because I'd be broke! :redface2: ;) {sm3}

So maybe I won't publish my ' Eat only Chocolate and Pasta for a slimmer you ' bestseller then :wink2:

After Rob's late afternoon V&T session in The Steam Passage Tavern, Islington (and what a super pub that was) his waist grew at least another two centimetres. ^&grin

Rob always a pleasure to see you mate as it was with Simon; Jeff; Andy; Richard; Steve (and his charming wife); Harrie and the guest of honor one of our esteemed US moderators Dave. A splendid bunch of gentlemen and I agree with Rob this regular meet of us TS nerds is now just as important as the show.....in fact its the highlight of my London visits. Gentle jocular leg pulling over the Hobgoblins etc but nothing acrimonius and what a great pity that a few individuals on here don't practice what we experience every time we meet.... instead of their long and boring disagreements we all have to frequently suffer on the forum.

Buster:- Yes I did make it in the end but only because I personally know the skipper of HM Submarine Astute who gave me and Trudi a sailing lift up through a submerged Devon (now a sea) and deposited us at Reading where we caught a landing craft up the Thames to Westminster.

Until the next time lads and many thanks again

Bob

Hi Konrad, pleasure on the pics.
The building / facade is Italian / Mediterrainian (? spelling ?), so should provide a perfect backdrop for K&C and TGM Med FJs.

The other stuff that David was turning out for the Vietnam releases were fantastic. The sandbag fire position was snapped up early on in the show, unsurprisingly. Also tempted by the VN structures. I was discussing with Gazza, they are reminiscent of the old Airfix Japanese buildings from the 70's. A lot of detail on them.
Cheers
Simon
