London December 2012 show pics (2 Viewers)

After Rob's late afternoon V&T session in The Steam Passage Tavern, Islington (and what a super pub that was) his waist grew at least another two centimetres. ^&grin

Rob always a pleasure to see you mate as it was with Simon; Jeff; Andy; Richard; Steve (and his charming wife); Harrie and the guest of honor one of our esteemed US moderators Dave. A splendid bunch of gentlemen and I agree with Rob this regular meet of us TS nerds is now just as important as the show.....in fact its the highlight of my London visits. Gentle jocular leg pulling over the Hobgoblins etc but nothing acrimonius and what a great pity that a few individuals on here don't practice what we experience every time we meet.... instead of their long and boring disagreements we all have to frequently suffer on the forum.

Buster:- Yes I did make it in the end but only because I personally know the skipper of HM Submarine Astute who gave me and Trudi a sailing lift up through a submerged Devon (now a sea) and deposited us at Reading where we caught a landing craft up the Thames to Westminster.

Until the next time lads and many thanks again

Bob

Well said on all points Bob, as always an absolute pleasure to see you and Trudi and the chaps you mentioned above. This hobby is full of really good decent people who its a pleasure to know, people who were once fellow collectors have quickly become good friends. Sometimes you know its easy to get really peed off with all the arguing and baiting that sometimes occurs here, but then you attend a show like Saturday and have such a good day that it pales into insignificance . Bob, we will reconvene in that same pub about sixteen weeks from now , if you are unable to join us will see you there in June.

My very best to you and Trudi

Rob

Last photo from me - The Treefroggers on parade.

(From left to right) - Rob, Steve, Andy, Bob, Jeff, Dave, Simon, Richard (and front) Harrie.

The pub was just round the corner and no more than a stones throw from the Centre. No Barmaid, but the beer was a lot better (and more choice) than the Royal National.

Great to see you all guys :salute::

Jeff

Thanks guys ik was a great weekend
I hoop to see you all next year

That's my lot I'm afraid. Got distracted after taking the first batch of shots by toys and beer n' stuff.

As for your pick ups - don't fancy yours .....

Great TM building though.

sorry to have wimped again, hopefully next time.

You'll make it in June if the Symposium happens in London as planned . . . even if I have to carry you!{eek3}{sm4}

Thanks Rob, Martyn, Jeff, Gazza and Simon for posting the show pictures. This was the best cover ever. I am enjoying the photos with my second cup of coffee. Also thanks for the pics by Normandy. At 72, I say enough to collecting more figures and then WHAM! I guess I will never retire from collecting. I especially like the old west and crusaders. John

Thanks to all that took and posted photos for us. It is much appreciated!! Always something new to see.
