London Show 5th December 2009 Photo's & Report (2 Viewers)

Unbelievable photo documentation Jeff and Rob. Again, I thank you for your generosity in giving your time and effort. I hope everyone had a fantastic and memorable time...so many awesome creations were depicted in the photos including Figarti, Maison Militare, K & C, Graham Mollard, WB, FL, and the list goes on and on...

And who were all those plastered-looking fellows photographed hell-raising in the hotel bar?!?! :p Just joking, of course. I hope to someday be able to make the trip across the pond to attend the London festivities, but I cannot afford the travel expense because I have an affliction that causes all discretionary expenditures of mine to be directed toward military miniatures. Perhaps some of you have heard of this syndrome? I must admit, it is monetarily sinful, yet quite endlessly fun! ;)

Thanks again to all for sharing the photos and words of their show experiences; it's the next best thing to being there! :)

Joe

Excellent coverage. Well done guys.
Been fun reading it and viewing the pictures. Nice to see RedHugh in there after his return to sunny Scotland from Down Under.

Sorry guys, forgot who made these but they were very impressive,I think Clive got one of them.
Rob

Rob, what a great day out yesterday! :)

These are made by The British Toy Soldier Company and retail at £800 for the boat and £300 for the figures which are Dorset Soldiers castings.

Jeff

He certainly did and I got the other one;):D

Cheers

Martyn:)

Thanks to everyone for all the pictures, I really appreciate your work. My absolute favourite thing on this forum is viewing collector and manufacturer photos of their pieces displayed, I never tire of them. I've never been to toy soldier event ( only thru cyberspace ) and it looks like terrific fun.

Hi Martyn I didnt realise you were one of the people who was buying one of patrick's paddlesteamers, they were just beautiful models weren't they? My dad & myself was on his stall most of the day apart from when I was buying myself lol you might of seen us?

Hi Craig

Clive told me about the Paddle Steamer and I was knocked out when I saw it, I had been looking for one for ages. I believe Patrick took orders for 2 or 3 more.
I had been helping Richard out on his stall opposite. Did your Dad help me get it loaded in the hire van?

Cheers

Martyn:)

Wow Jeff,

So what was you guys haul from this busy day?

Ray,

These seemed to be rather reasonable for a box of painted flats.

Jeff

I will post photo's of my purchases later on. :)

That would of probably been Brian the other fellow on the stall we had to leave around half 2 to catch the national express back home so didnt stay till the end this year :( Patrick had just started to pack the 1st of the 2 paddlesteamers up for 1 of you when we was leaving, I think Patrick had took 3 orders for more by the end of the show.

Hi 999th,

I don't suppose you got any photos at the ATS stand of their excellent napoleonic, acw and crimean cavalry by any chance.

Martin

It really was another great show in London today. Its 3.22am here and it would take until dawn to list everyone who I'd like to thank for a great day,but I'll narrow it down a bit.;Mike,Tony,Bob,Sue,Dave,Cathreen at K&C UK for a great day,Andy for answering all my questions, all the UK and Dutch Guys that came along,it was really good to see everyone of you today.

Highlights of the show were for me were K&C's P51 and Figarti's Sherman Flail. We got two show figures today, from K&C a Polish Soldier, and from Figarti a Royal Navy officer for a Landing craft. Both these are superb figures, thanks to both Clive and Andy for these.

Oh my god its 3.30am.You arn't going to belive this guys but I havn't even opened my purchases yet!.

Off to bed

Cheers

Rob

PS.I'm sure Jeff will produce much better pics for you tommorow :)

Do you know Rob, I have just read through your posts again and I must say (again :D ) that there is certainly no problem with your photography skills and the photos you took are probably better than mine! :)
