Indeed, Fusilier/Atkins makes some of my favourite glossies. They have such a diverse collection and will custom paint figures if you ask.

Fusilier Miniatures make some really nice figures and sets which are also available as castings which are really a joy to paint (I painted a set of RHA for Brad on one of the other threads).

Hi Guys,
All I can say is wow! The War of 1812 set was great and I will be checking out the WWI Tank. I certainly hope they produce some crew figures for it and some baggage/equipment to hang on the beast. It looks great but is way too clean for a field Tank.

I had no idea you were so handy with a camera--these show pictures are excellent! Thanks for sharing them all on the forum.
I enjoyed meeting you in person at the show and hanging out with you and Pandagen1 after the K&CUK evening event.

Hi Guys from David at TMTerrain
Some thoughts and impressions on our first December show
It has taken nearly a week to recover from the show- we really need to get a trolley to move all the stock to and from the van- my back will never be the same.
It was a terrific weekend for us seeing existing and new customers. I got to meet Ken Olsen who gave me some tips on making models as well as spending the whole day with John Jenkins. I only got off the stand about 3.30 to have a quick look round so you can tell how busy we were.
I was really pleased with the continuing reaction to Johns figures. The Snowshoes range is just building on the quality of his earlier figures and looking at the 1812 and Montcalm samples the quality continues to amaze!
It is so easy to make terrain for such beautiful figures and it is so rewarding when we hear all day how good everything looks. I know business needs to generate money but all the comments make it all worthwhile.
I got to sell some of the terrain boards from the stand which is great as it means I can keep the displays fresh and new for each show- I now have space for something 1812ish or maybe something to display the new First Legion? Decisions , decisions! (I guess that was our only disappointment for the show- that we couldn't get any First Legion samples in time for the day)
Personal highlights for me were the Figarti stand- the S boat was amazing and I wish I had a big enough display case to put it in. I did think about the Pegasus bridge as it would make a great game to fight over with the para collection.
I thought the new Zulus from Britains looked wonderful as well as the Rorkes Drift building to go with the figures. Great work from Ken.
Overall, the show was superbly run again by K and C. Mark and I always feel welcome by all the family and the coffee and cakes they put on on Friday afternoon is a Godsend after the trip we have from Nottingham!
A question- how does it compare to Chicago? Mark and I are thinking of taking a trip over next year.
Here are a couple of images of my favourite diorama I did for the show- the winter scene. I took them at home so have a different selection of figures than at the show. I hope you can see them OK!

That is most realistic snow I've seen David. What is that stuff?
I am still experimenting but for this diorama I used the Woodland scenics snow scatter. It works but is not cheap. I have been recommended finely chopped foam that you can use for Christmas decorations. I have seen the effect which looked great but I have yet to try it. There are also other scatters avaliable from the railway modelling hobby but, again, I haven't tried them.
I find a good tip is to make ans paint your diorama as if you were not going to add snow. You then add the snow so you get the ground cover showing through in areas.

We are arranging a small delivery hopefully to get to us before Christmas. If any one in the UK wants to see them in the flesh or wants to get some safe from the unpredictable import charges get in touch and we can add them to the delivery.
(we have until Monday night to get First Legion the info)
