Wraith and Andy, thanks a million for the photos. Sipped my wine looking at your shots and was nearly there. Lots of fun.

You've got 12 months to make arrangements for the next December show. Go on, you know you want to. ;)

Sorry, didn't know the tents were new items, that's all I've got for LL.

Fleurbaix had a good range on display

Chris Walker with the Walkerloo series

decshow055.jpg

There seemed to be a lot of interest re the Walkerloo soldiers, from the few youngsters at the show which was refreshing and encouraging

Modeller's Loft were in attendance with 1/6 stuff. Big range of new 'old' Action Man stuff, which takes you back a bit.

The Russians are Coming! The painting is unbelievably detailed, but what really caught my eye was the metal work for the weapons. Sweet.

JG Miniatures displays looked good

Hmmm...in all these photos, not ONE of HRH! She TOLD me she was going to London. Perhaps this is all one big hoax and she's been shopping at the Mall of America for the past 5 days...;)

Thank you Major General Simon for sharing your visit to the show and providing it on camera with a great batch of photos. Noticed nothing new featured in Britain's Rorke's Drift display thought we'd get to see some of the new releases to be feature in the January 2009 Catalog but you made up for it with your photos of it. Thanks again Simon.........Joe

Nope, much worse. She's been shopping in London for the past 5 days. She's acculmalated an unbelievable amount of footwear. :D
Last time I saw her, she was hunched over an elephant, with a tube of glue and some touch up paint, muttering 'No one will ever notice'. ;)

Joe,

My pleasure. The two piece hand to hand set - is that a limited edition? I thought they mentioned it was, but don't know if it's been 'unveiled' before.

Thanks for the additional photo's Simon great stuff !!

That hand to hand set is an exclusive set for modelzone. I think the LT posted it or it may have been 1879fanatic.

The ACW wars looks very nice and a dead horse (first for Britains?) that isn't attached to a base.

Do the companys ie. Britains, K&C, Figarti etc...also sell from their stalls or are they just there to showcase the product?

All in all looks like a great day was had and a busy one for the vendors.

Yep, that's ringing bells with me know. I think they were down to their last couple, if memory serves me correctly (taking in to account alcohol has been consumed between then and now).

Cheers

Outstanding Job Simon! I love the pictures and truly appreciate the time and effort you've put into taking them and posting them.

Hi UK BOD and Simon,

Thanks for all the wonderful pictures. I would love to attend the London show someday and enjoy the excitement. It looks like a terrific experience.

Simon:

On frame 68 there are some pictures of figures produced by W. Britain. An elephant with three riders and a tall banner or flag is seen in the background of the second picture. Do you have any information regarding this piece?

Warmest personal regards,

Pat
