Mike miller!!! (2 Viewers)

Wow...the damage in Texas is unreal:(:(:( I've been working a ton of OT lately and just not having the time to catch up and watch how bad it has become in Texas until today, I'm certainly glad our brethern Mike has come out of the storm ok for the most part, but saw so many terrible stories today, a family of 6 all drowned trying to get out in their van, a mother drowned while holding on to her baby who survived, and the stories just go on and on..just unreal, as much as this country has been divided over the last year I certainly hope all Americans can pull together for the great state of Texas and pitch in and help where ever we can, whether it's donating time and effort, food, materials, money etc.

Gents,

The MIKE MILLER thread is about to get political.

I loathe (thats the nice word) Ted Cruz...if I ever see him face to face...well I don't want this thread to be shut down. But he IS a creep, ugly, out touch and does not eat like a Mexican. I know Cowboys who eat like Mexicans better than him. Why? Because he is from Canada. A wanker of the highest order. George I had to look up the word "dour".

MIKE MILLER FOR US SENATE!

John from Texas

PS: I hope non of our Canadian friends get mad at me. I dig Canada, but please extradite this fool out of Texas.

You got him, you keep him. No Returns, Exchanges or Refunds

John,
If you ever come to the Chicago show, Julie, myself and Larry will tell you the greatest "flashlight" story ever in the history of flashlight stories.........it involves toy soldiers, a toy soldier show and an escaped mental patient................I promise you that you'll never laugh harder in your life...................Larry can back me on this one................

Am I in that one? I am pretty fuzzy on my last trip there.Thank gawd I don't recall the flashlight.

Morning Mike,
According to my weather channel ... you should be seeing some decent weather.
I truly hope that is the case. :tongue:

<><><><><>

However, all the pictures on the news, MSNBC, MSN, CNN, and other sources show wide spread areas of devastation.
I went to a "pot luck" dinner last night, that the High School put on as a relief fund for Houston area schools.

They raised $3,217.00. Not a huge sum, but hopefully a lot of small functions can add up to a sizable pot.

FEMA said they plan on being in coastal Tx. for up to a year (or more.) {sm2}

Let's keep toes, legs, arms and fingers crossed that this is the last time you will ever have to experience this time of storm.

Still keeping you guys in my prayers.

No, no that was not you.

YOU were to busy with the DUCKS, M&M's and silly putty fiasco to get involved in the Great Flashlight event! {sm4}

Very nice Larry, that was a great fund raiser and I'm sure all the folks in Texas appreciate the efforts, I had the good wife contact the red Cross and make a donation towards the folks in Texas, it's a small drop in the bucket for what is needed and what we could afford, but something is better then nothing, hopefully brighter days ahead for Texas!!

Cruz has a look on his face like he's got a pole up his ***, what a dour looking fella he is................

George,

We think the same thing here in Texas as well ! An opportunist in politics has a certain look, tough for the average Joe to replicate.

The weather people said this was going to be a bad year for hurricanes,I don't know how they know that but I think they may be right.

Has Mike been located?

He sent me a PM today. Michael sounds like he came through the storm pretty well, thankfully. He's safe, he didn't lose power or get flooded and suffered only slight damage to his air conditioning system.

Mike responded on another thread today so he appears to be ok.

hey guys...I'm fine...been dealing with plumbers...roofers...and a/c guys all day...nailing up fence pickets that blew down...just cleaning up...everything is good here...thanks for checking on me...

Reading all the stories and see the photos of people coming back to their homes is heart rending. I wonder if some of these homes can be saved, not to mention that all the water is contaminated. I don't know how people can cope with it and their work is just starting. But for the grace of God that could be any of us.

I figured you were ok, I have been watching many of the helicopter rescues and I never saw a guy get off-loaded from the basket with boxes of toy soldiers in his lap.

Seriously though, hang tough and hit me if you need anything, I am headed back to Texas on Thursday.
