Moe, your aerial shots are beautiful. Chris

Chris,

Thank you for your very generous comment. I must say that the images benefit greatly from graphics software and editing. However, one element of the pics essentially goes unedited, and that's the model. I don't monkey with it in any meaningful sense. I'm simply placing "the plane" in a setting that makes it even MORE interesting to gaze upon and admire. Thanks again!:D

Three more pics and ACE-12 gets put to bed:

Can't resist the Sepia tone photos for WW1 subjects. Perhaps, it's just a phase that I'm growing through as a toy pilot collector!;)

Thank you, Randy.:) Some of our readers may find it hard to believe, but I had never posted pics of the French sets, together. It was foggy out yesterday (in Central Tx:confused:), and so I sought to remedy the oversight. Hah, can’t believe that I hadn’t done a setup with the French before. Must be getting old! I’ve got two more models to do for a project that I’m working on, whereupon, I’m shall give the camera a rest.:D

Moe you've done a great job on this photo. :salute::

Would I be right in thinking photography is another one of your passions ?

Steve,

Have you ever known someone that can't sit and watch television? In fact, unless a film is really funny, I find it hard to be still at a movie theater. Apart from models (and toy pilots), all my other interests are outdoor stuff. The picture-taking is almost entirely a function of my desire to show my fellow collectors what some of these sets actually look like. Like I said up the page, I don't tinker with Jenkins' models. The props are spinning, but there's no embellishment to "the planes." The backgrounds are just to get folks imagination churning.

The fog yesterday reminded me of San Francisco:

With models you fly where your like!

Still waiting to see some good pics of KC/Andy's Graf 109, BTW.:wink2:

Thanks for the encouragement, :)

A mish-mash of Jenkins', WB, TG and Danbury Mint items in my interpretation of a scene from March Field, 1937:

Seems to me that the car could use some weathering!;)

Ah, the rarely seen but excellent JJD Peashooter. Nice pic, Moe, and a great job mixing different manufacturers. The JJD P-26 doesn't get much 'air' time around here, but it is a great model and one of my favorite JJD aircraft. -- Al

Thanks Al, I agree with you about the Peashooter. It's yet another example of how Jenkins tries to cooks something unique into each of his models. There may be three JJD P-26, but there are physical differences between the three which extend beyond simple paint and markings. I should note that the models are from different squadrons, but all belong to the 17th Fighter Group and were based at March Field (near Riverside in the desert West of LA). My sign is actually a pre-war post card:

Beautiful photo of that P-26! I have the same model and really like it. An aircraft reference book I have includes a photo of the exact aircraft and JJD got the markings, features, etc. pretty much spot-on - including the bomb racks and early faring around the tail wheel.
