More fun with tinted images:

Notice that the pilots are more interested in the nurses than in their wounded comrade.

TYPICAL!;)

Thanks Steve,

Posting a few pics is the least that I can do, as Jenkins' toys pilots have done so much for me!:D

One of my favorite KotS subjects is the Frank Luke SPAD:

I should note that nothing that you see in the pic above is real, except for the model, of course.

Awesome dio you did there, Randy.

I forgot about the figure of the nurse helping the pilot, or they'd gone in my setup as well.:redface2:

I found the sign on Google images, "doctored" and resized it, and pasted it on the front of the hut.

Here's a copy if you'd like to take a shot at it:

BTW, there's no such place as St Aloise.

It's my fictional RFC base!;)

One more pic of the Luke SPAD and ACE-26 goes back in the hangar:

Thanks Moe. Very much appreciated!

Very nice dio you have there of the different companies! They blend really well together. Are WB and Jenkins the same size in scale? I don't own any figures by Jenkins, but have been eyeing them.

Cameron,

Thank you, and glad to hear that you like the display. In my experience, the Jenkins and WB figures for The Great War go together quite nicely, so long as the latter are designated as matte, 1/30. The ONTC sets may be a smidgeon larger, but certainly not dramatically so. They (ONTC) would benefit from a little after-market paint work from the talented sort.

New pilot and corpsmen figures...

Below, we have RAF-01D, RAF Pilot Standing:

Looks darn fine to me, a very sophisticated rendering by the sculptor!

Also, note the grass.

Has Jenkins ever done that before?

For scale comparison purposes, figures from (L-R) Jenkins, WB and KC:

Finally, a couple of pics for BH/IWA-28, Jenkins Flight Deck Medical Team:

Again nicely done. The medical gear really makes these two, IMO.

I had to check out my medic figs after seeing your pics Moe. The hands are not as over sized as they appear in your photo although the one on the right is actually a bit large. Congrats on some nice additions to your collection. Chris

Chris,

The pics were taken with a macro lens. It's great for showing detail, but introduces distortion into the subject. It's caused by the wide-angle nature of the lens. Thanks for pointing out the visual distortion for our other readers, as the figures are indeed better proportioned than indicated in the images.:)

JJD and WB figures are the same size. Typically 60 to 62mm tall. Kronprinze and Figarti figures are also about the same size range. I mix all of them in dioramas. FL figures are smaller, about 58mm. K&C, TCS and TG range from 64 to 66mm typically.
