This new issues of german paras caught me off guard as i thought that we might get some for normandy. Do these new releases mean that we are going to develop the italian theater possibly centered on monte cassino or anzio. What do you all think?

We can only hope!

i think Cassino based FJ diorama is a real possibility.
Let's wait for Gordon's diorama. :D

Monte Cassino by Gordon would be some dio wouldn't it!

Rob

As terrific as all of his dioramas have been to this point (the Remagen Bridge is my favorite, followed by the Hartenstein and rubbled out factory with the big smokestack), I can only imagine what a Monte Cassino diorama by Gordon would look like, too much for words.

I would like to see Gordon do the monestary before the bombing and then do it after. That wouldn't be asking to much, would it?
Gary

I was hoping, like a lot of you, for Normandy FJ's as well, God knows its been brought up on here dozens of times. But these are a welcomed addition.

i too would have preferred normandy, but welcome these FJs as a step in the right direction. i do hope there is more to come for these italian Front FJs. These FJ releases are a mixed bunch to me, as i would have preferred them in ambush positions, as they do in the rubbles of the monastery of Monte Casino.

the mg team is good for my ambush monte cassino diorama, the rest not too useful for my current diorama.

Could these be used for an AK diorama or are the uniforms wrong?

Hi Hawkeye, could you please elaborate of the "new issues" of german para's? Sorry mate, but I've not heard anything about these new issues.^&confuse

As a Kiwi, Cassino & Italy hold a special place in our military history and as such would love to see more figures associated with this often over-looked period of WW2.

Cheers.

Normandy1944,

What a great idea using other miscellaneous building and pieces to construct your own Monte Cassino Abbey. I actually have that 1/35 reglious statue and plenty of Build-A-Rama rubble together with piece parts of the Conte Church you have a scene!

I ready to sell off all of KC & Thomas Gunn FJ sets but I just might delay this and keep them and get the new Figarti Nashorn to complete the theme.

Thanks again for the idea,

Carlos
