James Bond producer Cubby Broccoli offered Roger Moore the opportunity to return as James Bond in OCTOPUSSY, and at the same time, Moore and Sean Connery were offered the role of Bond in Jack Schwartzman's NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN, a remake of THUNDERBALL. I said to Sean, 'Which one do you want to do?' and he didn't want to do the one with Cubby, so I'm here and he's there."
