STAR WARS---Dave Filoni commented on his upcoming STAR WARS movie, “There’s a treasure of things to draw from, not just within our own series, but in the bigger galaxy. I definitely think a large-scale battle that would be very hard to do in our time, that we’re doing right now … when I saw the opening of REVENGE OF THE SITH, and the starfighters came over the bow of the ship and revealed this massive battle, I’m like, ‘This is it. This is the movie that I want to see, right here.'”
THE BOROUGHS---new Netflix/Duffer brothers (STRANGER THINGS) sci fi series whose synopsis says, “In a seemingly picturesque retirement community in the New Mexico desert, a group of unlikely heroes must band together to stop an otherworldly threat from stealing the one thing they don’t have… time.”
VENOM 3---Juno Temple is in negotiations to co-star in the sequel in an undisclosed role.
JURASSIC WORLD---FORBES reported that the two JURASSIC WORLD movies total production cost was $844.7 million with FALLEN KINGDOM's cost at $516.1 million, which makes it the second most-expensive movie ever. STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS is the most-expensive movie ever with $533.2 million production cost.
DAYS OF OUR LIVES---Dick Van Dyke, 97, will have a cameo on the soap opera playing a man suffering from amnesia. Van Dyke said he got the role after asking co-star Drake Hogestyn, "Drake and I went to the same gym together. I used to kid him, 'Say, don’t you ever have any parts for old people? Come on, give me a part!' And he took me seriously. He got me a part."
MYTHIC QUEST---F. Murray Abraham issued an apology after he was fired from the Apple TV+ series following allegations of sexual misconduct, “This is a sincere and deeply felt apology. Though never my intention to offend anyone, I told jokes, nothing more, that upset some of my colleagues and, as a result, lost a great job with wonderful people. I have grown in my understanding from this experience, and I hope they will forgive me.”
STATION 19---ABC renewed the series for Season 7.
GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN---a remake underway of the 1985 movie that starred Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt.
TRIVIA---the KOLCHAK: THE NIGHT STALKER episode "Chopper" was co-written by David Chase (THE SOPRANOS) based on an idea by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale (BACK TO THE FUTURE). The plot has former members of a biker gang being beheaded by a headless motorcyclist. Investigative reporter Carl Kolchak seeks information on old motorcycles from motorcycle dealer Herb Breeson, who is played by Jim Backus. Later in the episode, Kolchak is searching for bodies stored in a county warehouse and one storage label says, "Backus".
