STAR TREK WARS: WHO SHOT FIRST--SHATNER OR TAKEI ?---the new Paramount Pictures movie will finally settle the long-running controversy about who shot first in the bitter feud between STAR TREK stars William Shatner and George Takei. The co-writers are George Lucas, Rick Berman, Alex Kurtzman , Damon Lindelof and Roberto Orci.

STAR WARS: THE HATEFUL EIGHT---George Lucas is the host of this Lucasfilm/Disney+ competition tv series which will have eight hated STAR WARS characters battle each other in outer space to determine who is the most-hated STAR WARS character in the galaxy. The contestants are Jar Jar Binks, Boss Nass, Watto, Nute Gunray, Salacious Crumb, Sy Snootles, Joh Yowza and Kathleen Kennedy.

FIVE WEEKS IN A BALLOON---Jackie Chan will star in this remake of the 1962 Irwin Allen movie that starred Red Buttons, Barbara Eden, Cedric Hardwicke and Fabian. Chan will play a Chinese air force colonel who piloted his spy balloon for five weeks over the US gathering intelligence on top secret US military bases until the President of the United States finally ordered the balloon shot down. After bailing out, the colonel was captured by US forces and then traded back to China for a lesbian WNBA basketball player who was arrested in China on drug charges.

COCAINE BARE---Sony Pictures movie underway based on the best-selling book LAPTOP FROM HELL: HUNTER BIDEN, BIG TECH AND THE DIRTY SECRETS THE PRESIDENT TRIED TO HIDE which is about Hunter Biden's laptop which contains videos and emails showing him in the nude cavorting with prostitutes, snorting cocaine and complaining about having to pay 10% of his millions of dollars in bribes from China, Russia and Ukraine to "The Big Guy".

1923 & ALIENS---Harrison Ford returns for the latest Taylor Sheridan/Paramount+ YELLOWSTONE spinoff series in which 1923's Jacob Dutton, the grandson of COWBOYS & ALIENS cattle baron Col. Woodrow Dolarhyde, battles intergalactic aliens that threatened his grandfather in 1873 and now return to Earth to threaten his family in 1923.

ALIEN: IMMIGRATION---Noah Hawley confirmed the plot of the FX ALIEN tv series set on Earth will have millions of Aliens entering the US on the Texas/Mexico border where they are bused to Chicago and other big cities. In Chicago, the monstrous Aliens enter a house and stalk the terrified family members one by one.

CUSTER---Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan will reunite for this movie about Lt. Col. George Armstrong Custer, "Custer's Last Stand" and Custer's whistleblower role in the Trading Post Scandal involving Secretary of War William Belknap, his ex-wives and President Ulysses S. Grant's brother, Orvil. Custer's Congressional testimony about the scandal made him a national figure and possibly a candidate to run against Grant for the President of the United States. Bale will play Custer, Kenneth Brannagh will play President Grant, Michael Caine will play Belknap, Marion Cotillard will play Carita Belknap, Anne Hathaway will play Amanda Belknap, Gary Oldman will play Orvil Grant, Cillian Murphy will play Maj. Marcus Reno, Tom Hardy will play Capt. Frederick Benteen and Ken Watanabe will play Sitting Bull.

THE BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI---Geoffrey Horne, who co-starred in the Academy Award-winning World War II POW movie, criticized the British government's Prevent counter-terrorism program labeling the movie as promoting "white nationalists/supremacists". Program claimed the movie emphasized that white British POWs proved their racist intellectual and physical superiority over their Japanese captors by building a bridge that was far superior to the Japanese-designed bridge. Prevent added that militant white Allied commandos humiliated the Japanese again by blowing the bridge up on its completion while a Japanese troop train crossed it which exaggerated how incompetent the Japanese were in building the original bridge and defending the new bridge from sabotage.

SLAP SHOT---Will Smith and Chris Rock will star in the remake of the 1977 comedy hockey movie that starred Paul Newman and Michael Ontkean. The movie has already been nominated for an Academy Award.

YELLOWSTONE---at the PaleyFest tv festival, Kevin Costner and producer Taylor Sheridan were scheduled to appear with other cast and crew members, but both were absent which led to more rumors that Costner is leaving the tv series due to a schedule conflict. Keith Cox, Paramount Network vice president of production and development, commented on the rumors, "What I can say is our star, the face of our show and the executive producer, are very confident he’s going to continue with our show.”

THE EQUALIZER 3---Sony Pictures released the synopsis for the Denzel Washington sequel, "Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) has struggled to reconcile the horrific things he’s done in the past and finds a strange solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed.
Finding himself surprisingly at home in Southern Italy, he discovers his new friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia."

JAMES BOND---a British tabloid claims Phoebe Waller-Bridge might write and direct the next James Bond movie after rewriting NO TIME TO DIE, “Barbara has been quite open about saying Phoebe would be her first choice to direct and co-write the next film. Barbara believes Phoebe is a huge talent and brings a fresh, modern take to Bond. They’ve already had very early discussions, but there are lots of variables in the equation.”

FANTASTIC FOUR---Jodie Comer commented on rumors that she will co-star in the reboot movie, “No. Guys, I don’t know anything about it. I feel like, when I say this, people are like, ‘Okay.’ It’s like you can’t win either way.” She added, “I think never say never, but right now, no. But I think never say never, right? I think, as I said before, usually when you finish one project, you then wanna try something very different. So, I don’t know, maybe.”
Other rumors claim Adam Driver is a candidate to play Reed Richards, and Austin Butler is a candidate to play Johnny Storm.

INSIDIOUS: THE RED DOOR---Patrick Wilson returns for the sequel as Josh Lambert, who drops his son off at college, when he is confronted by demons of his past.

DIONNE WARWICK---Teyana Taylor said she will star in a Dionne Warwick biomovie, “She’s had a wonderful career, and I think right now is about making her feel as safe as possible to tell her story because a lot of these stories get misconstrued or dramatized to an extent. That’s not really where we want to go.”

TRIVIA---more James Bond movie trivia.
According to John Cork, co-founder of the Ian Fleming Foundation and author of THE JAMES BOND ENCYCLOPEDIA, Peter Sellers, star of the original CASINO ROYALE, decided to stop making the successful PINK PANTHER movies with Blake Edwards. Sellers' agent was against Sellers' decision, so the agent bribed Sellers' psychic to tell Sellers that someone with the initials ''B.E.'' would play a very important part of his life. Later, Sellers was in London's The Dorchester hotel when actress Britt Ekland, who played Bond Girl Mary Goodnight in THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN, checked in. Thinking Ekland was the important ''B.E.'' person, he pursued her in a whirlwind courtship of only ten days before they were married. Ekland commented on how their relationship began when she was taking a bath in the bath, there was a knock at the door, “I wrapped a towel round me and rushed to open the door … This very tall gentleman said ‘I’m Mr Sellers’s valet’. Would I like to come to his suite?”
Ekland said on their first date, Sellers too her to a PINK PANTHER movie, “This wasn’t about you telling him about yourself. This was about him telling you.” About a week later, Ekland had gone to New York when Sellers phoned her, "He said, 'I've told the press we're getting married. Is that OK with you?' I didn't know what to say. Even to this day, I don't know what I said."
Ekland attributed their tumultuous marriage lasting only four years to Sellers' mental health, “He obviously suffered from or was bipolar, severely bipolar. He was a very tormented soul who should have had more help. But instead he was unable [to] because he was such a valuable asset.”

Peter Sellers asked Britt Ekland to marry him in a whirlwind courtship after mistakenly misinterpreting the initials "B.E." from his bribed psychic so he would continue starring in Blake Edwards' PINK PANTHER movies.

GAME OF THRONES---HBO is in the early stages of developing a prequel series about Aegon I. Targaryen and his sister-wives, Visenya and Rhaenys, three centuries before GAME OF THRONES. The plot involves the Targaryens and their dragons conquering six of the seven Westeros kingdoms. Reportedly, a movie will be used to introduce the tv series.

HARRY POTTER---HBO is in negotiations for a tv series based on the novel series. JK Rowling is in talks to be a producer. Each serason will be based on one of the seven novels.

CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM---producer Jeff Schaffer commented on reports that Season 12 will be the last season, "Reports of our demise have been greatly exaggerated. We literally just finished shooting last week. So, yeah, we’re done. My first season was Season 5. And you know what the final episode of that season was called? ‘The End.’ Not ironically. That was 15 years ago. So every season is the last season. It’s been this way forever. Larry’s put all the ideas he likes into the season. He’s the only one who thinks he’s never gonna have another good idea. So, of course, he’s done for a while. But you know, usually he goes out and has spirited encounters with the westside of Los Angeles and then ideas come. So we’re in the same spot we’re always in. It’s just business as usual."

THE PERIPHERAL---THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER commented on Amazon renewing the sci fi series for Season 2 after inside Amazon sources claim it should not have been renewed, "Amazon recently renewed The Peripheral, a sci-fi drama from Jonah Nolan and Lisa Joy that cost close to $175 million for eight episodes (sources say their final eight-episode season of Westworld at HBO cost about $140 million). Amazon has ordered six additional hours of The Peripheral despite what sources say has been lukewarm audience engagement. “It probably should have been canceled,” says an insider.
“But they made a megadeal and the political capital they would lose with Lisa and Jonah would be too great. And they have other shows coming.” Fallout, the next show from Nolan and Joy, is also “extremely expensive,” says a source. Nolan and Joy’s deal has been worth at least $20 million a year since they signed on in 2019. One insider calls the Nolan deal the worst example of Salke’s mantra that Amazon is “a home for talent.’” He adds: “We cede decisions to powerful producers. We hold the line on other producers who do great work for us.”

STAR WARS---Donald Glover said he is in talks to return as Lando Calrissian in a Lucasfilm project, possibly the Disney+ LANDO miniseries, “We’re talking about it. That’s as much as I can say without [Lucasfilm President] Kathleen Kennedy hunting me down.” He added there are conditions for him returning, “It just needs to be the right way to do it. Now, time is precious. I think everybody’s like, from the past couple years with this pandemic *****...People kind of realized that their time was valuable. You only get so much. So I am not interested in doing anything that’s just going to be a waste of my time or just a paycheck. I’d much rather spend time with people that I enjoy. So it just has to be the right thing, which I think it could be. Lando is definitely somebody I’d like to hang out with.”
In December, 2020 Lucasfilm announced that LANDO was underway, "The galaxy’s favorite scoundrel, Lando Calrissian, will return in Lando, a brand-new event series for Disney+."

CITY ON FIRE---Austin Butler will star in this Sony Pictures movie based on the first of a novel trilogy in which a leader of the Irish mob takes on the mafia in New England.

MaXXXine---Mia Goth, Kevin Bacon, Giancarlo Esposito and Elizabeth Debicki will star in this third movie in the X horror trilogy whose synopsis says, “The film follows Maxine (Goth), after the events of X, as the sole survivor who continues her journey towards fame setting out to make it as an actress in 1980’s Los Angeles."

SHREK 5---Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy are in talks to return for the latest sequel.

JOKER: FOLIE A DEUX---director Todd Phillips celebrated filiming being wrapped by posting photos of Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker and Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.

OUTCOME---Keanu Reeves is in negotiations to star in this Apple Original Films dark comedy movie about Reef, a Hollywood star, “who must dive into the dark depths of his past to confront his demons and make amends after he is extorted with a mysterious video clip from his past.” Jonah Hill is the director/co-writer/co-star.

SUPERHERO FATIGUE---DC Studios co-head James Gunn commented on superhero fatigue, “I think there is such a thing as superhero fatigue. I think it doesn’t have anything to do with superheroes. It has to do with the kind of stories that get to be told, and if you lose your eye on the ball, which is character. We love Superman. We love Batman. We love Iron Man. Because they’re these incredible characters that we have in our hearts. And if it becomes just a bunch of nonsense onscreen, it gets really boring.
I get fatigued by most spectacle films, by the grind of not having an emotionally grounded story. It doesn’t have anything to do with whether they’re superhero movies or not. If you don’t have a story at the base of it, just watching things bash each other, no matter how clever those bashing moments are, no matter how clever the designs and the VFX are, it just gets fatiguing, and I think that’s very, very real.”

DC STUDIOS---Frank Grillo, whop played Crossbones in Marvel Stydios' CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, explained why he is moving to DC Studios, “They never told a story [about Crossbones]. The mythology of the MCU and just what Marvel has in its pool of characters, it’s so deep. Crossbones was there for a minute, but he was supposed to be there longer, then they went the direction they did.
I think Crossbones serves a purpose, but I think the interesting thing is that if you see how many people around the world have responded to Crossbones, and again, he’s on the screen for a very f*cking short amount of time, I think there’s more there. I think there was more meat on the bone. I was disappointed, which is why I went over to DC.”

WELCOME TO DERRY---the cast for the HBO Max IT prequel miniseries includes Taylour Paige (ZOLA), Jovan Adepo (BABYLON), Chris Chalk (GOTHAM) and James Remar (OPPENHEIMER).

MONSTROUS BEAUTY---Bella Ramsey and Dominic West will star in this movie whose synopsis says, “Set in the 17th Century, MONSTROUS BEAUTY is the story of a unique young woman, Barbara Field (Ramsey), born into poverty with a rare condition that means she is entirely covered in hair. THE BIG DOOR PRIZE---Apple TV+ renewed the series for Season 2.

TRIVIA---TREMORS starred Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward as two handymen who battle carnivorous subterranean monsters called Graboids. The movie's working was title was LAND SHARKS, but that was dropped after it was realized it was too similar to Chevy Chase's Landshark JAWS-spoofing character on SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.

STAR WARS---Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy announced three new untitled STAR WARS movies. James Mangold will direct a movie about the first Jedi to use The Force and is set during the Dawn of the Jedi era. Dave Filoni will direct a movie about "the escalating war between the Imperial remnant and the New Republic" set during the Mandalorian era that will connect all the franchise tv shows. Shameen Obaid-Chinoy will direct a movie set 15 years after THE RISE OF SKYWALKER with Daisy Ridley returning as Rey, and whose plot, “will tell the story of the rebuilding of a new Jedi order.”
Kennedy also said STAR WARS movies will span nine eras: Dawn of the Jedi, The Old Republic, The High Republic, Fall of the Jedi, Rise of the Empire Age of Rebellion, The New Republic, Rise of the First Order and the New Jedi Order.

STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW---photo released from a film clip showing Jude Law in the Disney+ series whose plot is described as,"This is a show that we've been working on for a really long time. It's a story of 10-year-old kids from a tiny planet who get lost in the STAR WARS galaxy. It's the story of their journey home."

MARVEL STUDIOS & DC STUDIOS---DC Studios co-head James Gunn commented on a crossover with Marvel Studios, “I’m certain that’s more likely now that I’m in charge [at DC]. Who knows? That’s many years away, though. I think we have to establish what we’re doing [at DC] first. I would be lying to say that we haven’t discussed it. But all discussions have been very, very light and fun.”

DEADPOOL 3---Morena Baccarin commented on if she is returning for the new sequel, “Yeah, what is up with DEADPOOL3? That’s a really good question. I have to be very diplomatic about what I say here. I’d like to be in it. They have called me about being in it… Right now, we have not agreed on terms, and everybody’s trying their best and doing their best. It may or may not work out. I don’t know.”

STAR WARS---Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy commented on the status of the STAR WARS franchise. She said about Rian Johnson's movie, “Rian and I talk all the time. He is unbelievably busy. So we’re not actively involved in anything at the moment because he’s doing another one of the GLASS ONION movies, and then God knows what else. But he really wants to step back into the space. It’s a big commitment of time, so that’s really on him.”
On the Taiki Waititi movie, she said “Taika is still working away. He’s writing the script himself. He doesn’t really want to bring others into that process, and I don’t blame him. He has a very, very unique voice. So we want to protect that and that’s what he’s doing. But we’re going to make that one day.”
Kennedy also discussed the shelved movies by Kevin Feige and Patty Jenkins, “Well, they haven’t been shelved. Most things haven’t been shelved. Development is a complicated long-term process. [With] some people, we’re dealing with scheduling, because obviously really talented people are working. So, it’s often not a shelving, it’s just, ‘is it ready?’ That’s really what it comes down to...Well, Kevin Feige’s project was something announced in the press or, I suppose, fandom, but nothing ever got developed. We never discussed an idea. As everyone knows, Kevin is a huge STAR WARS fan, and if he did come up with something, I would be all ears, but that’s never really happened. So, it’s not really an abandoned project: it just didn’t happen."
She said Jenkins' ROGUE SQUADRON movie might become a Disney+ tv series, “ROGUE SQUADRON, that is definitely something that we still talk about. Whether it’s a movie or it ends up in the series space, that’s definitely something.”
Kennedy also discussed a sequel to the OBI-WAN KENOBI miniseries, “That is not an active development. But I never say never, because there’s always the possibility. That show was so well-received and [director] Deborah Chow did such a spectacular job. Ewan McGregor really wants to do another. Everybody’s all hands on deck with what we’re doing right now, as you can see by what we showed everybody [at the Celebration]. We’ll turn our attention to that again maybe down the road.”
She said about the Lando Calrissian tv series, … [Lando] I can just tell you it’s still happening and [Donald Glover is] very excited about it.”
Also, director James Mangold commented on the plot of his STAR WARS movie by saying it will be, “kind of a BEN-HUR or THE TEN COMMANDMENTS about the birth of the force...The force has become a kind of religious legend that spans through all these movies. But where did it come from? How is it found? Who found it? Who was the first Jedi? And that’s what I’m writing right now.”
Lucasfilm announced STAR WARS: THE BAD BATCH has been renewed for Season 3, which will be the last season, and TALES OF THE JEDI has been renewed for Season 2.

FANTASTIC FOUR---entertainment insider Jeff Sneider said an unnamed third writer has been hired to rewrite the reboot movies' s script and, "I’m told that Matt Shakman is planning to go very cosmic with his FANTASTIC FOUR movie. Lots of 1960s elements, and that the film will feature both Galactus and the Silver Surfer."

DC STUDIOS---entertainment insider Jeff Sneider commented on DC Studios rumors, “There’s a lot of rumors out there, just about DC projects. Supposedly the word on the street is that there’s 25 projects that James Gunn has sort of in mind, at least. And that those might include a SUPERMAN VS. THE AUTHORITY movie. You know, if [SUPERMAN: LEGACY] is the first movie, and THE AUTHORITY is the second movie, it stands to reason, if they are, in fact, going in that direction, SUPERMAN VS. THE AUTHORITY could be a movie down the line.”

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA---the sequel has earned over $473 million worldwide which makes it Marvel Studios' lowest-grossing sequel ever.

THE DARK UNIVERSE---director Chris McKay (RENFIELD) commented on the failure of Universal Picture's Dark Universe reboot of its classic monster movies which began with Tom Cruise's THE MUMMY, “I think that everyone, even if you are in a Marvel universe or a shared universe situation, you should always just focus on that movie. Make a good version of that movie, regardless of whether it’s a sequel or the trilogy or whatever, just concentrate on that.
I think sometimes where movies go wrong is where they’re trying to do too much. The Dark Universe thing could’ve worked there. There’s compelling … who wouldn’t want to see Angelina Jolie play BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN or Javier Bardem play Frankenstein’s Monster? That would be really cool. I think, when you try to also do all these other things and you haven’t established what the tone is, what the world is, I think that’s where things go wrong.”

An early concept had the working title of DRACULA'S DAUGHTER in which kidnappers abduct several teenagers and discover one of them is Dracula's daughter. It is not known if the original concept will be used.

THE TATTOOIST---Harvey Keitel will star in the Peacock tv movie based on the book about Lale Sokolov, who was forced to tattoo the ID numbers on inmates in Nazi concentration camps in World War II.

ALEXANDER THE GREAT---Netflix docudrama underway based on Alexander the Great.

TRIVIA---in the original THE ITALIAN JOB, Michael Caine's younger brother, Stanley Caine, played heist gang member Coco. Stanley's hopes to follow in Michael's footsteps and become an actor were unsuccessful, so he tried to launch a career as a writer which were also unsuccessful. Stanley and his wife, Marie, barely made enough money to avoid living on welfare while living partially off of monthly payments from Michael. They turned down Michael's offers for free luxurious vacations including stays at the exclusive Sandy Lane Hotel in Barbados.
Stanley was diagnosed with leukemia and passed away in 2013.

TRIVIA---in THE BAND OF BROTHERS episode "Crossroads" directed by Tom Hanks, Jimmy Fallon played Lt. George Rice, who drives a Jeep full of ammo for the Easy Company paratroopers as the Battle of the Bulge begins. In reality, Fallon did not know how to drive the straight drive Jeep, so it was pushed by extras and the engine sound effects were added later. Fallon said, "It’s a real WWII Jeep, so you’ve got to, like, press the thing, put it in neutral … I don’t know how to drive. And I just say my line, and I’m supposed to look really heroic... So I’m so nervous. There’s like 200 extras. So I drive, I hit my spot. I go, ‘Good luck, boys!" and I forget to press the clutch, and these two dudes are pushing the car, and the wheels aren’t moving because the clutch isn’t in."

She added, "We really are looking at these as ways in which people can enter STAR WARS from different places and not feel the burden of, 'Oh God, I gotta catch up with everything that's been made before.' So we don't really talk about it in terms of trilogies per se. We talk about it as stories, obviously, what Rey is doing is a carryover of what George [Lucas] created, and what we carried on with and what we're doing with the other movies will be separate stories, but they will have a connection. The connection is really the overarching story of the Jedi. That's what we're looking at."

A KNIGHT OF THE SEVEN KINGDOMS: THE HEDGE KNIGHT---Max ordered the GAME OF THRONES prequel series whose synopsis says, “A century before the events of GAME OF THRONES, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros … a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends.”
George RR Martin said the series will be about six episodes, its title is tentative and added, “Our premiere season will be an adaptation of the first of the three published novellas, The Hedge Knight, the tale of how Dunk & Egg first met during a tournament at Ashford Meadow. The pilot script is already written, and I think it’s terrific. It was written by Ira Parker, who is no stranger to Westeros. He was part of Ryan Condal’s writing staff for the first season of House of the Dragon, and wrote the fourth episode of House of the Dragon’s first season, “King of the Narrow Sea.”
Martin added, “Before we reach the end of the published stories, I will need to find time to write all the other Dunk & Egg novellas that I have planned. There are… gulp… more of them than I had once thought. There’s ‘The Village Hero’ and the Winterfell story, the one with the She-Wolves, and maybe I need to write that Dornish adventure too to slip in between ‘The Hedge Knight’ and ‘The Sworn Sword’, and after that there are… ah… more. I just need to finish The Winds Of Winter, and then do either A Dream Of Spring or volume two of Fire & Blood, and slip in a new Dunk & Egg between each of those in my copious spare time… and that will keep me ahead of Ira and his merry crew… for a few more years.”

I’m surprised – I don’t know why I’m surprised because of course there would be more movies. Obviously, at the core of that is a desire to make a lot of money. It’s not that a bunch of executives are like, ‘Let’s make really awesome art.’ And again, not begrudging anybody because, of course, it is commerce. But great art can come from commerce. So those two things are not mutually exclusive.
But LORD OF THE RINGS didn’t come out of that place. It came out of a passion for these books and want to see them realized. And I hope that that is ultimately what will drive everything forward with whatever these subsequent movies are. I just hope that it’s the same motivating factor at its core, whenever they hire a screenwriter and a filmmaker – that it is with reverence for Tolkien’s material and enthusiasm to explore it.”

THE MUNSTERS---Rob Zombie said there will not be sequel, "THE MUNSTERS was exhausting. That was an exhausting movie to make. It took almost five years of non-stop pushing. And then, being in a foreign country during the height of COVID, was not as much fun as you would think! So the whole experience was very draining.
I won’t [make another] and I don’t want to. The only reason I would ever want to is because I like making sequels. You have so little time with the first movie to develop these characters. Towards the end of THE MUNSTERS film you go, okay, now they’re all set, you can really jump in with what they’re all about.”

BAYWATCH---Fremantle is developing a reboot of the lifeguard tv series that starred David Hasselhoff and Pam Anderson.

I'm a big Bob Odenkirk fan from Better Call Saul. And a fan of the Richard Russo book "Straight Man" that the AMC series "Lucky Hank" is based on but wow have they woked down the story for this show. The most bizarre example is that in the book, Hank threatens to kill a goose each day until his demands are met. I guess the viewing public can't handle that type of satirical humor, though. Or maybe PETA would protest. So in the show he threatens to "box" a goose. Ridiculous.

HOW TO BE A BOOKIE---the TWO AND A HALF MEN team of Charlie Sheen and creator Chuck Lorre are reuniting for this tv series whose synopsis says Sheen plays a, “veteran bookie who struggles to survive the impending legalization of sports gambling, increasingly unstable clients, family, co-workers, and a lifestyle that bounces him around every corner of Los Angeles, high and low.”

MAUDE VS. MAUDE---Angelina Jolie and Halle Berry will star in this Warner Bros. movie about two totally different female spies who battle each other.

LODI---Ewan McGregor will star in this Amazon Prime miniseries based on the true story of a New York Cadillac salesman who becomes an FBI informant and infiltrates the mob which leads to the conviction of mobster Joe Bonnano.

JONATHAN MAJORS---the ANT-MAN AND THE WASP: QUANTUMANIA actor has been dropped from THE MAN IN MY BASEMENT movie based on the novel and an Otis Redding biomovie after he was arrested for assault, strangulation and harassment against a woman. His talent agency and public relations firm have also dropped him as a client.

TRIVIA---character actor Jeff Corey appeared in many movies and tv shows, including playing villain Tom Chaney in the original TRUE GRIT. During World War II, Corey was on the other end of the camera when he was a Navy combat photographer stationed on the aircraft carrier USS Yorktown. Corey filmed a Japanese Judy kamikaze dive bomber almost hit the Yorktown, "I was in the Navy and received a citation, signed by Navy Secretary Forrestal, for outstanding achievement in combat photography for putting myself at risk while shooting a photo sequence of a kamikaze attack on the U.S.S. Yorktown."

I'll give that away. It's tenuous at best. They're needing each other for a very specific reason. So, Negan has gone back probably a few steps in that redemption arc out of necessity and his survival instincts. It's going to be a rough road, but going down 5th Avenue is not that bad a road to go down."

In NORTH BY NORTHWEST, Carroll played The Professor, the head of a secret US spy organization which uses ad executive Roger Thornhill (Cary Grant) to stop an enemy spy ring. In THE PRIZE, Carroll played Count Bertil Jacobsson of the Nobel Prize Committee, who hosts Nobel-winner Andrew Craig (Paul Newman) as he tries to prevent East German spies from kidnapping a Nobel-winning scientist back to East Germany.
