Received AE093 "Carrying Anubis" today along with the Egyptian Antiquities Dealer, as well as Miss Bowers. These last two figures will be appearing soon. I must say I am very impressed with the Carrying Anubis 5-piece set. It's a great companion piece to the "Carrying the Queen" set.
Mike

So, are these pieces going to a museum or into the antiquities black market?

Perhaps some unseen calamity will prevent them from leaving the tomb.

You are are way too much fun with this series Mike. I find the series intriguing and colourful. You are coming up to speed for what’s available at break neck pace. Robin.

You are getting a very nice collection there Mike. Paul

Could also be titled 'Gun Beats Spear', when it comes to what Western countries [and many other Empires throughout out history] 'collected'.

Assuming the correct Egyptian palms have been greased, I'm sure most of them will end up in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
Probably be a dozen or more Mummy's wandering around there, all looking lost !

After this I suspect they will be returning to their day jobs, as sedan chair porters. (Currently they are being modified to replace the horrible porters that came with the 50 year old kit of the chair by Phoenix model developments. Stay tuned)IMG_7628.jpeg

I really am having lots of fun with this series Robin. I'm almost caught up with the sets that are still available. I've even been able to pick up three sets that have been long retired and sold.

Thanks Paul. I'm trying to catch up with what's still available before they are retired/sold out.

That thought had not crossed my mind when I was putting this little scene together. I was thinking more along the lines of "The Revenge of the Mummy"

I think you are probably correct Steve. However, AE095, "The Ancient Antiques Dealer", also makes one feel that many items ended up on the black market.

A great use of those figures to create an interesting set. Will look forward to seeing the finished product.

Dodgy looking dude in the red cap, the BM looks good odds.
Awesome setup mate.

Thanks Wayne. I also thought that dude was rather dodgy and suspicious looking.
