Currently listening to the following:

An iconic label, no longer in business, and largely unavailable in cd.

Recently reissued on vinyl by Vinyl Me, Please, Newborn’s piano runs remind you of Art Tatum, who when he played, people said “God was in the House.”

This is the five cd remix, which includes a new stereo mix, the mono version from a few years ago and session tapes, largely available for the first time. There is also the mono and stereo remix of Paperback Writer and Rain. Giles Martin (George Martin’s son) used a new de-mixing technology pioneered by Peter Jackson for the Get Back show. Highly recommended. Rubber Soul is rumored to be next.

I've been listening to a lot of 70s music on satellite radio. Either an underrated decade or maybe just nostalgia. After the 80s, music doesn't seem to be measured in decades. No one listens to the 00s or 10s.

"Scary Monsters and Super Creeps" from David Bowie. Bowie is obviously a mega star but that album was greatly underappreciated. Every track is a classic. The lyrics and music are cutting edge. The artwork for the cover is fantastic. I've been listening to it for forty years and still hear something new. Never get tired of it.

Bowie was certainly a talented singer, and actor.

I've been a fan of Linda Rondstadt for many years, initially because of her Country/Pop songs and was somewhat surprised by the following classic she covered.

I'm not a Justin Timberlake fan but I have to admit liking this version of 'Mirrors', maybe something to do with the 'Harmony':

Last week was Record Store Day and, among other things, I picked up

This is one of my all time favorite music videos on YouTube, love everything about it;

The joy on the musicians faces
The harmonies are incredible
The crowd roar at about 2:07
The 50/60/70 year olds having the time of their lives in the crowd

Man, he's still got it, better than ever as a matter of fact.

The Angels, an iconic Aussie Band and one of the few bands I've ever seen live, and that was way back in the early 80's.

Here's a clip from a performance in 2014, sadly not long before the lead singer Doc Neeson died from Brain Cancer.

Yes the song does sound like something Status Quo would do, but apparently they came to a gentlemans agreement on that as they were good friends. The crowds crude response was a tradition, great to see younger fans keeping up the tradition.
