Have you heard this one:

Many think it’s about horses. It’s not.
no...never hear it and would of bet money it wasn't a Bob Dylan song...and I would of lost...lol...

All the Tired Horses» is the opening track from Bob Dylan's 1970 album Self Portrait. The song is famously a rejection of fame, representing Dylan's existential exhaustion with the music industry, his fans' relentless expectations, and the suffocating burden of being the voice of a generation.

here's a pony song...

Paul Simon..."One Trick Pony"...

when you said "many think it's about horses"...this came to mind...simple but I have always likes it...

I have described some friends I have as a "one trick pony"....teasingly of course...

A "one-trick pony" is an idiom used to describe a person, business, or product that is only good at doing one specific thing. The phrase is often used disparagingly to highlight a lack of versatility, a narrow skill set, or the inability to adapt to new situations

The whole album was a big FU by Dylan, hoping people would leave him alone. Of course it did well in sales.

Most of the songs that Dylan played on his first album were covers but he did write two songs. Song for Woody is a great song, based on Woody’s 1913 Massacre.
