My JJD Wars of the Roses Display (1 Viewer)

Thanks Mike . . . . Even with all the additional shelves I added I am once again starting to run out of display space. Trouble is I have no more room for additional shelving. Quite the dilemma when JJD keeps releasing such wonderful figures, vehicles, and airplanes. John's is just a machine . . . . I don't know how he does it month after month after month . . . .

hahaha...welcome to my world...

I outgrew my house a long time ago...

these large scale permanent dioramas have killed me...
my office is packed...
my dining room is packed...
I even gave all my crystal and lalique to my sister...
so I could use my 3 shelf glass China hutch...
and most recently...
got rid of the bedroom furniture and confiscated the smallest upstairs bedroom for display...

I'm concerned about the Guals that are forthcoming...
as I have nowhere to display them...

so hard to resist...^&grin

My shelf space is also getting crowded for this series. I will have no choice but to become selective in poses for variety.

Wow Mike, you're collection is really impressive. The depth that's built into the combat scene is very convincing. Sober reflection leads me to think that shelves are the perfect way to display this range. If the scene was very much deeper, figures would get lost, one behind the other. On your shelf, all is revealed!:D

Thanks Moe . . . The shelf is 3-feet long and 14-inches deep and will work well for the time being . . . . I am at the point where I will also be more selective in the poses I collect just because of space restraints. Then there's that other thing . . . . John's Inter-War Aviation range . . . . everything I collect will take a temporary back seat to this . . . .

Good News - Your shelf display looks really good, just big enough. As already mentioned, it's best not to go too deep with a display, or else some figures get blocked from view. Those big banners can act like little billboards blocking out everything behind them.

Bad News - There that great WOR artillery set coming down the pike.......

The WoR artillery will certainly be a must have as well as the two new mounted knights and the archers in new poses which we have seen the resin casts of . . . just to name a few sets yet to come . . .

Agree with you Mike, John is producing some wonderful pieces that cannot be resisted. Space is everyone's issue. I find unless I can permanently display series, I am now starting to consider selling some of my items that never see the light of day, with a view to reduce clutter and fund the 'new must have' releases. Cannot wait for the WOR new artillery set, looks terrific. The WOR series looks better on mass as is happening on your shelves. Robin.

Funny you mentioned selling off some of your collection to fund your new interests Robin . . . . I've been considering doing the same thing. John is just a machine . . . . I don't know how he maintains his stamina announcing all of these releases month after month. When you consider the history behind the WoR range a mass display is a good way to go . . .

Love the WOR series. It truly tested my will power but I was able to stay the course and stick to my current lines. The Celts will be the doom of me though. Thanks for posting the pics. They look great in mass.

Thank you Joe . . . Great hearing from you . . . The Inter-War Aviation series will be the doom of my TS budget along with WoR . . .

Same boat, Mike. WoR WAS the only line I was actively collecting but the new F4B's have changed that. I will concentrate on them while keeping an eye on the WoR for any cavalry. Doomed as doomed can be at my new address, Poor House, USA. -- Al
