My Mountain Railway and Road Diorama Under Construction... (3 Viewers)

Gee you nailed that river pour Tom. The whole thing has come together beautifully. A really classy dio capable of multiple scenes. Good on you, a huge effort rewarded. Robin.

Superb Tom, wack some water effects on that river and it will go from brilliant to stellar.

Tom...
your water came out wicked cool...
that makes the whole diorama pop!
excellent job!

Thanks Mike, I'm happy with the water results.

Nice work Tom,

just the place to go fishing ...... an Barra in that river ???

Well done (again)

John

Thanks John and no barra in the river mate as I reckon it'll be to cold for them although they do like murky water.

Mate that is superb you gotta be pleased with yourself well done young man.

Thanks mate

Very impressive Tom , with so much fine detail

Thanks Neil

Looks great Tom, the river looks realistic, now all you need is another table and dio to continue the journey :wink2:

Thanks Matt and I reckon one bloody big table is enough otherwise when does it end! {eek3}

Thanks Wayne and for now I'll leave the river as is but I may do some water effects at a later date.

Beautiful Tom. Chris

Thanks Chris.

Thanks to people that provided a like.

Brilliant Tom.

I'm in awe of the time and effort you've gone to, to create such a great diorama and I look forward to seeing some scenes telling stories unfolding on it.

It still makes me think of the film Von Ryan's Express

:salute:::salute:::salute::

Steve

Tom,

That is really tremendous work, I think even Gordon Neilson, Ken Osen and Dave from TM Terrain would be impressed!😎😎😎😎😎👍👍

Hopefully ends in an even more impressive collection :wink2: ^&grin

Thanks again Matt.

Thanks Steve and yeah, i'll have to do a scene soon to look a bit like Von Ryan's Express.

Give us a panoramic photo of it when/if you can.
Mark

No worries Mark, will do.

Tom,

Absolutely beautiful, you don't even need a figure nor vehicle on it.

Steve

Thanks Steve

I agree Louis, his dioramas were great from the first and just get better. I was also impressed with the dioramas at our recent K & C Diner in Brisbane, they get better every year and it's terrific that the guys are happy to share how they build them, in person and on this forum.

After some breaks from the hobby I'm glad I started collecting again, this is a great hobby.

I appreciate the kind words Matt and I agree, the amount of brilliant dio's not just from Brissie, but also from Howard's patch in Melbourne is quite amazing and they have inspired me to continue to make dio's although I might have to tone down the mega ones!

Yes, there were some very impressive dioramas displayed at the Melbourne Diner. I visited Howard's old shop several years ago, hopefully attend the Melbourne K & C Diner sometime in the future and also check out his new setup.

Give us a panoramic photo of it when/if you can.
Mark

Mark, here are some panoramic photos, this time with US armour. I have also included some close up shots while I was at it (I couldn't help myself!) :)

Returned to view these dio pics again today. One of the most impressive displays, both for sheer size as well as detail and realism.

Anyone heard from Tom? Been a while.

Chris

Thanks for reposting this diorama. I was just thinking about this the other day. Must be fun to be able to appreciate it every day. Professionally finished.
