My RAF Ambulance just arrived! (1 Viewer)

We only had ambulances to make the airfield look balanced. Our pilots were to 'hard' to need them!!!!!!

My RAF Ambulance arrived while I was away - now my RAF Airfield is starting to take shape !! :D :D

Nice scene Ron:cool: Now what we need is something to protect that ambulance and crew whilst they are awaiting Scramble;

Love all this RAF stuff but I am running out of room.
I know, I know - it's the same old song...

I need some nice grass for the ground but here are 2 snippets...

YOU ARE SO RIGHT ! :D Some AA guns for the RAF Range would be very cool

Need to get my Spitfire - haven't done that yet ! Taking the wife to the Virgin Islands this week - so RAF purchases will have to wait or I might get into trouble

I am enjoying collecting this range - lots of fun. Here are a couple of more pics of my RAF Collection so far ....

Lovely set-up, Ron...
I was wondering what plane you have on the far left. The one with the pilot scampering in to it.
I don't think I know it.
Forgive my noobiness.

Its one of the old Corgi Warbirds (1/32 - Metal) - I have a couple of those Corgi Warbirds - but space is tight to display them all - especially living in a townhouse on Capitol Hill

One day when I build new house I will have more display room I assure you ! ;)

I do love this RAF range ! :D

David - I also like your grass idea - I will be making that addition too !

Ron

Gotta say, or repeat myself - I really love it.
With toy soldiers you either have a dramatic, battle-posed set-up, or something rather static. Guys standing around looking at maps, through binoculars, etc.
With the RAF you get that blend. Men standing around (and women, yes, yes...). Pilots running towards their planes. I think K and C have really captured the verve of that moment when everything seemed to hang in the balance.

Great pics Ron, really nice. Enjoy your trip to the Virgin Islands, but don't leave the Spit too long, sounds like its selling fast!

All we need now is a couple of period deck chairs maybe a nice leather chair bit worn and some pilots at rest and, the dio is complete

Very cool setup Ron!:D

The tower just reported a Spit on short final to my airfield (two days out actually). Problem, they don't know where to park it!

WAAF from Chota Shieb??

Terp152.............Is the WAAF in the background of your display an Old 54mm Chota Shieb (SP) figure?? If it is, it is a real prize from the 80's. I love to see these older beautifully sculpted pieces in the background with todays quality figures.

There will always be an England

This is a photo of a display I did at the Military Figure Collectors of America show this year to honor the 70th Anniversay of the BOB/ It is an old bust of Churchill in resin by Verlinden painted in artist oils over an acrylic undercoating.
For display in my collection, I plan to have quite a few of the K&C RAF figures and of course the RAF Tilley........which I can't wait to receive.....surounding the base. Seems fitting.
