I am using a Nikon D5100 (old camera 16Megapixel sensor - latest version is the D5300)

Lens is the Nikon 85mm DX Macro lens

The "trick" is in the lighting actually and tripod - if I have a tripod adapter for my iphone 6 I could also get such shots too from the iphone as well . {sm4}

If they were lucky, the tank’s five crew might have seconds to escape before they burned alive. Hence, the Sherman’s grim nickname — Ronson, like the cigarette lighter, because “it lights up the first time, every time.”
