DM,

Thanks for the architectural elevations of your collection. I'm going to be setting up a light box this weekend and will be trying to emulate (and probably failing) the quality of your shots.

Fantastic pics

This set in my view is a "MUST" for those into Battle of France {sm4}

Hi Guys,

I totally concur with DM101's statement that no "Battle of France" collection or display is complete without the "CHAR B1 bis" tank.

I've always been fascinated by that 6 week campaign that led to the "Fall of France" and the miraculous evacuation of the British Expeditionary Force at "Dunkirk".

K&C and yours truly are looking forward to adding more over the next 12 months.

Great Photos too "DM101"... Hope we will see you at the K&C gathering in Singapore later this year!

Best wishes and happy collecting,
Andy

Wow, very nice. Love how close you came to the painting in duplicating the scene. Chris

Thank you Chris.
Here's a different Reg't, 2nd Life Guards, but maybe a little closer to the Lady Butler painting. Chris

Wow, that is great looking. Love the massed cavalry dioramas. I have always wanted to do one. Chris

Brilliant ....

the charge of the Heavy Brigade ..... on that fateful day in June 1815.....

I love seeing so many troopers massed for that event.

Well Done

John

A picture from the past......

A Luftwaffe officer speaks with a British policeman in St Helier, the capital of the island of Jersey, during the German occupation of the Channel Islands. The islands were the only part of the British Isles to be invaded by the Germans.

Occupied by Germany for most of the Second World War, from 30 June 1940 until their liberation on 9 May 1945 the Channel Islands were the only part of Britain to be occupied by the German Army during the war.

Amazing, I was reading a Dad's army magazine a few hours ago and it was talking about this being the only British soil to be occupied by the Germans. Never knew that before. The German occupation force surrendered the day after VE Day. The occupation force was fairly reasonable, but at times did shoot people, but was regarded as not as bad as their counterparts in Europe. Robin.

Looks like that Policeman is making a list, reminds me of this classic Dad's Army episode:

PS: I am waiting for a FT-17 version used in Battle of France - hopefully we could see that soon from K&C :salute::

This is my favourite pic of all the ones you have done. I love the architectural lines. A beautiful picture.
