agreed...

and while I think it would be a more entertaining finals to see Miami vs San Antonio...I wouldn't mind watching Indiana in the Championship series...

Game 6...3rd quarter...Miami scored 15 points...8 of them in the last 2 minutes of the quarter...Hibbert and George look like the future...Lebron and Wade look like the past...Game 7 should be a doozie...Indian is pure hustle...every play 100%...they might win the series...but if Miami plays San Antonio with this little energy...they won't win...

I didn't see the game but from what I've been hearing and reading, it seems that Lebron, due to some injuries and inconsistent play, has to be a one man gang. That's not a recipe for victory.

There is no way, no how Stern and the NBA is going to allow Indiana to win this, which is a shame as I'm with Mike, they hussle all the way, have to give them credit for taking the Heat to the limit, would love, love, LOVE to see this team advance, but the NBA won't let it happen.........

I haven't watched a N.B.A game in so long I don't even know all the cities/teams in it, but I may watch this one to pull for the Pacers to bring down the mighty Heat, I'm with George on this one, the N.B.A. won't stand for anyone but the Heat to win it all...Sammy

Absolutely Sammy, Stern wants the Heat to be the face of the NBA, a run of several titles in a row and all that other nonsense.

The Heat somehow manage to win when they have to win...............

The NBA no doubt would like the Heat to win because of the ratings. Spurs vs Pacers doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. However, that doesn't mean the refs will throw the game to the Heat. Right now Wade and Bosh are stinking the joint up and LeBron can't be a one man show. At any rate, Pacers are up and coming team.

Stern will have noithing to do with the outcome...if Indiana wins...it's because they will outplay Miami...this is Miami's wake up call...I can't see anything but 100% from them Monday night...their biggest problem is...is that Indiana thinks they are a better team...and right now they are...get your popcorn ready...it's gonna be a good one...^&grin

Foster, Callahan and Mauer are blowing the whistle tonight; RIP 2012-2013 Indiana Pacers, it was fun while it lasted.

WOW is the fix in with this fraud of a league, all three of those bozos in the same game is criminal........

Well, this game looks to be over. Defensively, the Pacers couldn't handle 'em.

well...it was a very good competitive series...except for this last game...I still think Indiana is a better team than I originally thought...they really pushed Miami hard...I hated to see them go down so hard the last game...I'm really not a Pacer fan...as much as I'm a Heat hater...I'm gonna blame this loss on Stern and the refs...^&grin

Indiana was a nice little story, would much rather see the Heat get curb stomped by San Antonio at this point in the finals anyway. Losing in the finals leaves a mark.

Nothing to change my mind about Heat in 6, not to mention Spurs will be rusty for Game 1.

Miami has home court...they should win...

rather than rusty...I like to think of them as healed...

both Ginobli and Parker were nursing injuries...not to mention it's a team with old legs...

I said I wasn't a fan of Miami...let me clarify...Miami is okay...I'm not a fan of Lebron...I'm still dwelling on his drama queen days...with that said...I hope San Antonio steals one quick...

Miami has to be tired and less confident. The Spurs have veterans who will not beat themselves and have tons of experience at this level. They are also well coached. Miami has beaten their opponets on sheer talent. That won't work against the Spurs who are more talented than anyone the Heat has played. I'm not a big fan of the 2-3-2 format for the finals. If the Spurs take one of the first two games, that means they have to win three in a row to close out at home. Not likely. At best, they come back to Miami up 3-2 and need to win another road game to close out. I'm still going with the Spurs in 6.

If Miami plays like night and brings its A game, it will be a short series. Trouble is they didn't bring their A game every game in the Pacers series.

Defensively, the Pacers presented more of a challenge than the Spurs do and this will be an advantage for the Heat.

Ultimately, the difference may come down to the fact the Heat have Lebron and the Spurs don't. The guy is one of the best to ever to play.

Who knows how the finals will turn out to be but my hunch is it will either go to seven or Spurs in 5 if they manage to get a quick hold on the series. I think the Spurs will be a handful for the Heat, pay attention to Tony Parker...:wink2:. LeBron alone won't do the business, as shown in the series against the Pacers.

My 2 cents...

I have no idea what kind of game LeBron was playing tonight. 18 points, many soft. I kept waiting for him to take control. Don't know why. Well, let's hope they get their act together on Sunday or it might be a short series.

This series reminds me a lot of the old Lakers and Celts matchups in the 60s. The Lakers always had a couple of superstar players but the Celts had a complete team. The Celts always won. It's not over, but the Spurs are deep and have talent, experience, poise and coaching. They are going to be hard to beat with only talent.
