The hammer finally fell on Childress...he never did much to get the fans excited about him up here, so there aren't many tears.

Now we'll see if we can pull a Cowboys and start winning for the new coach!

Hopefully not:eek:, they play the Skins next.:D

Yeah, the Skins-Vikes will be interesting. Will the Skins have enough healthy players to field a team? Will the Vikes get a bounce from their new coach (ala the Cowboys)? Which Favre will show up (a most important question)? Will the Skins go to OT again? Will the Skins current O-line continue to play well? Fortunately for me, Las Vegas has professionals to answer these questions.;) Tune in Sunday to see the exciting answers to these questions. -- Al

If you need another "Brad," I'm available ;)

Finished ODing on turkey and football. Patriots won, as expected and looked good doing it with the exception of giving up so many points. Saints had to struggle to get past the Cowboys. At least they won. Jets won after a fight and Cinncy continues to roller coaster from year to year as they can't seem to get a handle on being good or bad. Looking forward to Skins vs. Vikes. A little afraid Favre will awaken against my boys. We shall see. -- Al

Favre and the Vikes played error free and their reward against the Skins is a victory. I can't figure the Skins out but they sure aren't very good and just really have trouble scoring. Can't seem to beat the teams they should beat and that becomes really frustrating. I guess I should be used to this by now.:( -- Al

Great games next Sunday, my Ravens play at home against the evil Steelers and the Jets vs. Pats, this week will help in the long run of who is going to be playing some games at home during the playoffs as I think all 4 teams will be in the AFC playoffs, I'm already getting excited!!
let's go RRRRAAAAVVEEEENNNNNSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...Sammy

I'd have to say, if I were a betting man, that I'd pick Pats over Jets (just based on some of their performances) and Ravens over Steelers.

However, the thing to point out is that this is only one game and that there are still 4 games to go after next weekend. Just because you win or lose next weekend doesn't automatically mean you're going to win or lose the division. Even if the Jets win, they have games against the Steelers and Bears, no walk in the park there, not to mention the Dolphins and Bills (although those are home games).

I guess we should but given the injury situation, I am inclined to give them some break. It really hurts not having even your third string HB.

Hi Bill. I agree about the injuries and giving them some leeway but I was just looking at the remaining schedule and I don't like the looks of it. 4 games against winning teams (2 vs. Giants @ 7-4, Tampa @7-4, Jacksonville @ 6-4) and a road game against resurgent Dallas. This is a disaster waiting to happen if the Skins don't get healthy, play better, and score some points. They could lose all 5 and I don't see them winning more than 2 of them anyway. Just my natural pessimism kicking in. I'd love to see a playoff push but don't see it happening. Just no margin of error in the schedule at this point. -- Al

Oh I agree with that Al. At this point I am just hoping they play some close games and get a good draft position.;)

Well, it's big game day for the Balt.-DC corridor. Ravens slug it out with the Steelers tonight to see who gets first place. Should be a real rumble. Meanwhile, the Skins fight for survival against the Giants. A win will keep the Skins in position to keep the season alive whereas a loss will all but finish them. Just found out that super-wuss Haynesworth isn't playing, again. What a shock. McNabb and the defense need a big day. We shall see. -- Al

Well that was, err, PATHETIC.:( Four lost fumbles, two interceptions and one touch down; well at least their 3rd down efficiency was improved and their red zone percentage was perfect, 0/0. Ah well, this improves their draft postion chances; now if we can just be perfect for the remainder of the season.

Yeah, things didn't go quite like I hoped they would. I am beginning to wonder how they won the 5 games. This team just seems to be getting worse, although I know several factors are involved, it is just demoralizing. Looks like they could well be perfect for the rest of the games. -- Al

WHOA! Steelers!

What a game, hard hitting, as advertised. I don't care what anybody says, barring Ben's personal life failures, the guy can flat out win games. Unbelievable guts and grit. First the foot, then he plays the entire game with a broken nose, grinds out a victory.

AND, for those of you not living in Baltimore, the Ravens fans have a chant when the Burgh comes to town that goes something like "POLAMA WHO???". Well, who he is is the guy who made the play that changed the game! WOW.

As bad as the Steelers have been playing and winning ugly lately, this could be the win we needed to refocus and try to continue on to the playoffs.

Baltimore will still be there and don't be surprised if there is not a rubber match.

What a game.

Sammy, Sammy are you out there????????:D:D:D:D Sorry, can't let you get off too easy, you have been advertising December 5th for sometime now!

Steelers/Ravens...that was a great game...a defensive struggle on both sides...I am soooo happy my Cowboys pulled out a win...Cowboys have 3 divisional games left...two with Philly and one with Washington...I would love to see them win 2 or all 3 of them...

Mike,
it is amazing what a coaching change can do some times!

Tell the truth on the Ravens/Steelers game we celebrated the holidays today with my family from Pittsburgh and both my Aunt and I said we had a horrible feeling about tonights game. And when Ben got clocked the first drive, I thought oh no, don't let us get embarassed b/c I reallly thought wow, we are in for a long night. But a little luck and hard work, we hung around till we got the opp and boom, that is the NFL.
