N.f.l. 2010 season (1 Viewer)

WHOA! Steelers!

What a game, hard hitting, as advertised. I don't care what anybody says, barring Ben's personal life failures, the guy can flat out win games. Unbelievable guts and grit. First the foot, then he plays the entire game with a broken nose, grinds out a victory.

AND, for those of you not living in Baltimore, the Ravens fans have a chant when the Burgh comes to town that goes something like "POLAMA WHO???". Well, who he is is the guy who made the play that changed the game! WOW.

As bad as the Steelers have been playing and winning ugly lately, this could be the win we needed to refocus and try to continue on to the playoffs.

Baltimore will still be there and don't be surprised if there is not a rubber match.

What a game.

Sammy, Sammy are you out there????????:D:D:D:D Sorry, can't let you get off too easy, you have been advertising December 5th for sometime now!

Yea I'm here Tom, we had it, fumbled it away with less then 3 minutes and lost it, so see ya in the playoffs hopefully...Sammy

It was just a good game, now you know how we felt in Pittsburgh earlier when Flacco marched down and got the td at the end! That's the NFL.

Yeah, things didn't go quite like I hoped they would. I am beginning to wonder how they won the 5 games. This team just seems to be getting worse, although I know several factors are involved, it is just demoralizing. Looks like they could well be perfect for the rest of the games. -- Al
The way I look at it now is that a few weeks ago, they had the 24th pick in the draft, last week the 15th and now the 9th.:) The way Carolina, Cincinnati, Buffalo and Detroit (who beat us:rolleyes:) are playing I think the best they can do is 5th but you never know.:p:D

Well, looks like I won't have to stay up late. Jets will probably have to do it the hard way now, through the wild card.

I woke up this morning to find out that the Metrodome Roof collapsed under one of the largest snow falls in Minnesota History, and that the Giants critical game to remain tied for first place has been delayed to tomorrow night at the earliest, but that due to damage to the roof panels, it may not be able to be played tomorrow night, at least at the Metrodome.

If it has to be played outside at the University of Minnesota's field, it will be played in -10 degree weather (which, frankly hurts the Vikings, a dome team, more than the Giants).

If it is delayed beyond tomorrow night, it will seriously adversely effect the biggest game of the year for the Giants - Giants vs Eagles for 1st place with only 2 games left to play.

I'd LOVE to see this game played outdoors tomorrow night! It'd make a game in Green Bay seem like a sauna! The low tomorrow night is -15 F.

It would be like a replay of the 2007 NFC Championship Game, right down to Coughlin's red, wind burned face.

Have you ever heard about a game being postponed because of a dome collapsing from snow before? I think it happened a couple of times in the 80's (once with an early season Twins game, if I'm not mistaken).

I think they need to build a stronger dome to deal with all that snow you guys get.

The game had been delayed until tomorrow anyway because the Giants had trouble getting to Minnesota. Another factor leading to possible further delay is that the Giants don't have their snow gear so that has to come from somewhere. I doubt safety experts will let anybody play at the Metodome anytime soon.

I just heard on ESPN that they may play the game at the Lion's home field, Ford Field in Detroit, because (1) it is a domed field, (2) Fox Sports already has its cameras and crews there, and they will be televising the game, and (3) it is an equal travel distance for both teams.

They said the outdoor option was unlikely, because the Giants, expecting to play in a dome, had not brought their winter equipment.

They said the dome was unlikely to be ready in time for a Monday night game, because it takes 3-4 days to repair the inflatable dome when there is a tear, and there are at least two tears.

Actually the Vike's lease for the Dome is about to expire, and our owner REALLY wants a new stadium. The Dome's days may be numbered.

I just checked...the coldest NFL game in history is the Ice Bowl where it was -13. Let's move this game outside!

Back in the 70's, your team had the best home field advantage in the league, because you played outside in such brutal weather. Then you went to the Metrodome, and your team had one of the worst home winning percentages in the league. You should look for a new, outdoor stadium, and get back that edge.

For this game however, the Giants, who play outdoors in cold and snow regularly, would have an advantage against a Vikings team which is used to playing home games indoors in 70 degree weather on a nice, dry carpet.

It is now official. The league just announced that the game will not be played at the Metrodome tomorrow night. It will either be played at the University of Minnesota outdoors, or at another domed venue, probably Ford Field.

Skins have a tough game against Tampa today, but the weather has warmed up for it, so Tampa may not be cold weather disadvantaged. Too bad. Really waiting for the Patriot-Bears game. That will be a head banger worth watching. Going to be a good test for both teams. -- Al

It's official: Giants at Vikings will be played Monday night in Detroit - where, by the way, there is snow in the forecast. The Giants are on a bus to the airport in Kansas City to fly to Detroit as I type this post. I hope the Vikings can get there.

Skins managed to find a new way to lose (shades of "All the Right Moves"), by missing the extra point with something like 9 seconds left on the clock. Lost 17-16. I'm so proud. They played a decent first half (but didn't score as many points as they should have), and then evidently sent the offense home at halftime. Might be looking for a new kicker Monday. -- Al

Looks like Pats and Jets have continued from where they were last week: Pats are destroying the Bears and Jets have managed to score a FG.

Well, it's only halftime and the Bears have embarrassed themselves by being slaughtered 33-0, at home, in their kind of weather. The Patriot's are the class and then some of the AFC while the Bears are apparantly just pretenders. How can a team be this flat in a big game, at home. Does the headcoach have a clue? -- Al

The Bears have always been experts at beating bad teams in ugly games. Normally their defense can carry a pathetic offense...not today!

Brad, your Jets helped out my Steelers today. Next week should be a good one, in the Burg!
