Sounds like a special day for the kids (and Dad) Louis. Nice that they were able to be a part of the celebration. Chris

Thank you Chris, it was really special, especially for me. Sharing a day like that with both my children was the best part of it.:smile2:

Congrats to the Giants, they played 4 tough games in a row to win the Super bowl, you gotta give them credit for fighting just to get into the playoffs, and they also won me 25 snappers!!! so I appreciate that as well:) now come on 2012 football season I wish we could start tommorow!! but before you know it the summer will come and go and football will return in all it's glory, can't wait!!! see ya football in about 6 months at camp!!!!...Sammy

Actually, the off season has already started. The combine will be in Indianopolis on February 22 and goes through February 28. The NFL Network, for those who have this channel, carry it. So, time to start the 2012 thread :smile2:

I can't speak about what's going with other teams but the Giants have the normal problems that you do when you win a title, i.e. who you can keep and who you have left to go. I think topmost on their minds will be signing Osi and probably tearing up Victor Cruz's contract.

Jets have the usual problems of also rans, i.e. how to upgrade and so forth. Holmes' contract has kicked in so he's not going anywhere and he's made feelers to Sanchez to improve their relationship. They have a new OC, which should help things as Sparano is a no nonsense kind of guy.

I just saw an article on Pro Football Talk.com where Bill Polian says PM is not that far away. However, I think a warm weather site is his ultimate destination.

If he landed in Washington, I'd instantly become a Redskins fan, he'd torture his brother twice a year for the next three or so years, would be great theater for sure.

He's a top 3 all time QB; Unitas, Montana, Manning.

End of discussion.

Terry Bradshaw gets no love?

Couldn't agree more. Probably wait a couple of weeks.

Brad

One of the Patriots beat writers reported tonight Ochocinco is all but gone, they are targeting Vincent Jackson, Reggie Wayne or Brandon Lloyd, as well as Cortland Finnegan as a cornerback.

They have two #1's and two #2's and are targeting D linemen and linebackers with those picks, moving McCourty to safety and bringing in Finnegan.

How about Wayne and Lloyd on the outside, Welker in the slot, Hernandez and Gronkowski in a two tight end set.

He also said Mr Kraft is a man on a mission next year and is "All in" on winning the Super Bowl again.

He's the greatest owner in the history of Boston sports.

Terry was a winner. His career stats don't put him in the upper echelon but that's not his whole story. He was a huge post-season winner. Something like 14-5 lifetime. And only Montana ties him for most Super Bowl wins with 4. His record speaks for itself. He certainly belongs in any 'all-time greats' discussion. -- Al

As much as I would like to see Peyton unburden Dandy Dan Snyder of some of his millions, I doubt it's going to happen. Even Danny Boy isn't that dumb which is saying a great deal. It sounds like Peyton may be finished. I'm sure he wants to come back and may even do so, but it's an enormous risk to sign him to a huge contract. It's basically putting all your eggs in one basket. The Redskins have tried that and been burned many times over. Better to spread the wealth around and build a team.

You would think so, wouldn't you? But if Snyder has proved anything as owner of the Redskins, it's that he loves the big splash contract on high-risk signings. I wouldn't be surprised to see a substantial offer made to Manning. -- Al

I got my Giants Superbowl video today . . . can't wait to go home and watch it around 100 times!^&grin
