N.F.L. 24-25 Season (4 Viewers)

My money is on the Chiefs. Saquon is unbelievable, but the rest of the Philly attack IMO has been mia. Philly has weapons, question is whether they can execute. Again, my money is on the Chiefs. I think it will be hard to win 3 in a row, but I like the Chief's chances.

Only 11 different teams have played in the Super Bowl since 2015.

It is all just overly repetitive and predictable for me.

And before anyone says it is sour grapes the Niners are one of those teams.

The Boston sports media is pushing this narrative about how Patriots fans are torqued off the Chiefs are going on a run and the Patriots dynasty is somehow dimisished now.

What BS; the media in this town has been waiting 19 years to **** on the Patriots because Belichick in turn **** all over them during the Patriots run.

It was a joy to watch for 19 years, it's now over; what the Chiefs or any other team does going forward is no concern of mine. "Which dynasty is better" is not something I think about, we had our run, they're on theirs, good for them, I want them to win on Sunday, doing something no other team has done, win three SB is a row.

What I do fine hilarious is when the Patriots started their run, the national opinion was people were behind Brady and the Patriots for the most part, then towards the end they were hated and branded as cheaters.

When Mahomes and the Chiefs went on their run, same thing; now the national narrative is fans hate Mahomes and Kelce, then throw in Taylor Swift, people view the NFL as rigged towards the Chiefs.

When you're on top for a long time, the haters come out.

I think every dynasty begins to generate resentment as their string continues. Fans of other teams get tired of seeing their team go down and the same team win year after year. Imagine if you were a Bills fan? I never understood jealousy between fans of dynasties that are separated by years or even decades. It's apples and oranges. The Packers of the 60s, Steelers of the 70s, 49ers of the 80s/90s, Pats of the Brady era are all great teams. That won't change if the Chiefs join their ranks. The Chiefs suffered for many decades as bottom dwellers. This is their turn. Once it is over, the wheel will turn and someone else will be on top.

Agreed 100%.

Dynasties are born, then they die, then a new one comes along and on and on it goes.

Well put.

This also seems to be part of the modern age of 24 hour, crap, diluted ESPN type of media coverage.

The Cowboys, Steelers, Niners and Redskins did not suffer the vitriol that the Patriots and Chiefs have.

On a lighter note................Lamar Small Game and Small Time Jackson lost again............this time the MVP to Josh Allen. I am not going to regurgitate the local press reason on why he lost. You can figure out what they are saying by google, but it is such ultimate horsecrap. It was a close race, both of them were great this year, so one won, end of story.

Chiefs offense vs Philly defense - Philly is winning. Going to be a tough comeback. Don't see the Eagles giving this one up. If it was only the Philly O - Chiefs d is playing well, they gave up 10points. Patrick and Company gave up 14. Go figure, sometimes that is the way the ball bounces in big games. Not over yet, but I don't know if they have a Brady comeback in them.

No go, you have to wonder how trying to win 3 in a row is such a curse. Maybe that is why it has never happened! I still like watching Mahomes play more than most. Just not an Eagles fan, but I give them credit, they came to play. Hurts is better than I probably ever gave him credit for.
Tom

And forgot to say = another terrible halftime performance. Jeez, why can't they get this right. There are numerous mainstream musical icons out there, please book one for next year!!!!!!!!!!! McCartney was sitting in the stands, hire him!!!!

That was an old fashioned country ass kicking; second SB the Chefs have lost when a defense manhandled their offensive line, just goes to show Mahomes is human, he was running for his life most of the game, what a beating he took.

Iggles opened up a can of whoop ass on them.

This season mercifully comes to an end.

And that half time show was a total ****show, what demographic were they going for on that one, Mother of God was that awful.

Comical that Mahomes cannot win a SB with Brady in the building, 0-2; now he, Manning and Montana can look up at the real GOAT forever.

Mahomes, the peoples GOAT, sucked today, he padded his stats in garbage time, he's thrown more INTS in his 5 SB appearances than Brady did in 10.

Brady is 7-3 in the Super Bowl, Mahomes is 3-2 and got his ass handed to him in both losses, all three of Brady's losses literally came down to the final play.

Kelce should retire, he's totally washed out there, a shell of his former self, just marry Swift and spend the rest of your days as Mr. Swift.

Not going to lie, initially I thought it would be cool to see the Chiefs make history and win three in a row; as the game went on and they laid an egg, I'm glad the way it turned out.

Other than the Iggles winning it; someone had to win sorry to say.

Whatever.

Terrible, uncompetitive game.

Unwatchable half-time show.

Mediocre (at best) commercials.

Someone owes me four hours of my life back.

The Boston media eating crow this week is going to be glorious, all they talked about was how when the Chiefs win three in a row, Patriots fans will be beside themselves.

Super Bowls:

Brady: 7-3 (.700), average of +3.6 margin
Mahomes: 3-2 (.600), average of -2.2 margin

Brady: 277-421 (65.8%), 3,039 yds, 7.2 y/a, 21 td, 6 int, 97.7 rating, 5x SB MVP
Mahomes: 128-196 (65.3%), 1,328 yds, 6.8 y/a, 10 td, 7 int, 86.9 rating, 3x SB MVP

Brady has been far superior in the Super Bowl than Patrick Mahomes has been.

Mahomes is no Tom F-ing Brady.

The Iggles defensive line should have won MVP, not Hurts, he was very good, but that line was tremendous, the Iggles have the key to success in the NFL, a great OL and DL, that's how you build a team, from the lines out.

Their owner gives a **** about winning and they have a great GM, they do it the right way, give them credit.

Agreed.

Hopefully this lose ends the Chiefs v. Patriots dynasty discussions and the Mahomes greatest ever debate.

Bradshaw, Montana and Brady were never down by 34 in a Super Bowl and none of them took until 2 minutes into the 3rd quarter to cross the 50 yard line in a Super Bowl.

That was one of the most non competitive SB's I've ever witnessed, the Chiefs ballwashing/how great Andy Reid is/how Mahomes is the GOAT will come crashing back to earth.

This Chiefs team won what, 15 one score games, they tap danced in a mine field all year long, barely winning games, credit due in that they won 15 games and all that, but they reminded me a lot of the Brazilian squad in the WC several years ago that got destroyed 7-1 by Germany, they were not very good and got exposed in the end, just like the Chiefs did.

If the Iggles can avoid the injury bug, maybe they go on a run now; glad for their coach, those Iggles fans wanted to run the guy out of town on a rail after last year, now they love the guy.

Clowns.

How was Hurts the MVP of that game? He played fine but nothing special. The four guys on the Philly D line blew that game up. They dominated the Chiefs O-line while allowing seven guys to drop back into coverage. If you can pressure the QB like that only rushing four, it's game over. Reid had no answer. I haven't seen a physical beatdown like since the Bears curb stomped the hapless Steve Grogan Pats.

I agree on the halftime show. I know that was not directed to my demographic, but even so it was atrocious. Bad in ways hard to describe.

It was not a competitive game last night, but you have to ask yourself, are the Chiefs really that bad, of course not. Unfortunately, for them, they chose a bad night to have a bad game. And unfortunately for them, the Eagles had a great game for the most part. Hurts played well, not sure either if he was the MVP, Saquon certainly was not. However the team together, the defense played well. I would not write Mahomes off just yet, I still think he is one of the best to have played the game thus far, nobody finds a way to move like he does in adversity. One thing last night, his throw timing was way off. And Kelce just does look like he has lost a step for sure, me personally thinks he is beyond football and looking elsewhere.

All of that said, it was one game, the big game, but in no way hurts Mahomes status. I seem to remember a Super Bowl where Tom Brady opened the game up with a bomb to nobody, they call intentional grounding and the game went to crap shortly thereafter. It happens to all of them, as a fan, you just hope for a more competitive Super Bowl. This one just was awful all the way around and not memorable.

One positive of the night, the idiot who displayed the terror flags during the halftime performance was detained, removed and banned from all NFL productions for life. I am sure this individual may have trouble getting anymore work anytime soon. At least some things are done correctly. Choices have consequences, that performance was not the time nor the place.

Also, not sure why Snoop and Tom Brady had to have the commercial together, it is a good message, but I just find it unnecessary, to me it is adding fuel to a fire that should have burnt out and run its course.
