N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (2 Viewers)

well...
I'm glad Jerry didn't offer Seattle three first round picks, a third round pick, and two other players named later...

Chicago supposedly offered Seattle three first round picks, a third round pick, and two other players! But Seattle said no. That's a deal I would have taken in a heartbeat. Six NFL caliber players for an aging NFL QB who was mediocre last year, unhappy, and has only a couple good seasons left in him.

That's a Hell of a haul for a 32 year old QB.........................I guess the thinking is Seattle's window is closing and if they traded away their starting QB, their coach is 70 and they'd be in rebuild mode, I guess they are going all in for the next couple of years and see what happens..................

The corpse of AJ Green has signed with Arizona, one aging WR to replace the one they are losing, makes sense.

Also; any thoughts about the law suit being filed against Watson by a massage therapist?

She claims this happened a year ago, in her home, he acted inappropriately, now some ambulance chasing good old boy lawyer who advertises on billboards is bringing a suit, not for the money, but for justice..........................................

His mamma and his daddy dun raised him right to fight for truth, justice.................and a 6 figure out of court settlement he'll no doubt end up with.

Wilson looked awful last year. He has always been overrated in my opinion. The Rams beat him like a drum in the playoffs even with Goff playing with a broken thumb. He isn't happy in Seattle. He is not getting any younger. So why pass on that haul when they could draft a top QB and pick up several quality players? Makes no sense to me. Coaches and GMs always seem reluctant to move on from a star player.

Except Belichick; he let the 43 year old greatest athlete in the history of the world walk.....................:wink2:

I think Chicago could of done a lot worse than Dalton....even with the Cowboy's anemic defense and zero O-line blocking...he actually went 4-5 replacing Prescott...not sure if he is gonna be Chicago's starter...but he was not so bad as a back up...Dallas was paying him $3 million a year...but Chicago really ponied up on the money for him at $10 million...$13 million with incentives...which I doubt he will receive...

Deshaun Watson might really be in big trouble if the alleged texts are true...pretty sexually graphic...reminds me of Antonio Brown...

https://sports.yahoo.com/alleged-de...ans-quarterback-deshaun-watson-194035481.html

apparently a second suit from another women has been filed also...

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id...-qb-deshaun-watson-calls-allegations-baseless

And there are two more on the way for a total of four.

The second suit is being brought by a masseuse from Atlanta he met on Instagram that he flew in to Houston.

That sounds legit; a "masseuse" you met on Instagram.

From Atlanta.

So no good "masseuse's" in Houston then; that's quite a reach.

If Watson was the QB for New England, they would have been docked two first round draft picks already........................

So much for trading for this guy; who's going to want to touch him now; apparently four masseuse's.............................

Kyle Van Noy is back with the Patriots, 2 years, 12 million.

So in about 48 hours their linebackers when from a tire fire of a position to elite.................

Maybe the plan is to send the entire 2021 draft to Houston for Watson........but that probably won't be enough.

after the AB fiasco...
I doubt NE is gonna go after Watson...
til both those allegations are resolved...

I have been following the free agent tracker on the NFL Network as I want to stay informed regarding the Niners’ signings.

The most common thing reported just about every time a huge, multi-year contract makes news is a quiet disclaimer stating that the contract will probably be restructured and/or partially voided next year and beyond in order to “help” with the salary cap.

As I have stated before, why even have a salary cap then? These contracts aren’t meant to “help” a team, they are meant to circumvent the cap.

Best part is we have a 4th round comp pick for getting rid of him. Now we have him back and a pick 😀

He should go to the draft and be the guy who announces that pick for New England..........:wink2:

Miami signed him, he had a very good season, he was a team captain, then they cut him.

Makes zero sense to me.

I can just see him on the field vs Miami this coming season; he'll be like Jefferson from Fast times at Ridgemont High after he thought the other team trashed his Z28.

That bag of wind ambulance chaser lawyer now has brought 6 suits forward vs Watson...............but once again, he's not in this for the money.

Wow; I wouldn't touch Watson now with ten foot pole; if he got traded to New England, he'd get suspended for a year.........but naturally, if he landed anywhere else, he'd be told to behave and not do this again and all would be well.

And if anyone thinks this is some sort of persecution complex, you clearly have no clue, there are two sets of rules in the NFL; the set the Patriots are required to follow, then everyone elses...........................

with the way the NFL governs and disciplines the players...
the accusations alone have created big time damage for Watson...
this third lawsuit is the most ugly of them all...
it's more graphic than the first two...
with still 3 more allegations against him yet to file lawsuits...

even if gets all settled out of court...
or in a civil suit...
and the local police don't accept/prefer charges...

I think he will at the very least get suspended...
so...I'm guessing...and he's probably hoping...
the Texans even will still want him after the dust settles...

"Conduct detrimental to the league, 8 game suspension"........................will get appealed and end up as 4.

There will be no criminal charges filed, will end up with a civil suit or out of court as you said and he'll write several checks with a bunch of zeros and crooked numbers on them....................but yeah, he's 100% not getting traded.

"Conduct detrimental to the league"...

yea...I think that's what they call it...lol...
the local police may not file charges...
but Goodell will if the story sounds credible...

Watson is not worried about the zeros on those checks...
he's worried about threatening to leave Houston...
and if any other team will give him the time of day...

Strange time for these allegations to come out..............isn't the whiplash hustler attorney a Texans super fan who wanted to draft Mazell?

I thought I read that somewhere....................so he's trying to shoot his way out of town, then this happens.

Hmmmm................

George...

Tony Buzbee is not some ambulance chaser...
far from it...
he's actually some kind of a big shot high profile trial lawyer...

he ran for mayor of Houston a few years ago and lost in a pretty close 2 man runoff to Turner...

NY Times described him as one of the most successful trial lawyers in the country...
quoting them...
"Mr. Buzbee is a big, mean, ambitious, tenacious, fire breathing Texas trail lawyer. Really big. Poster boy big."

he was Texas lawyer of the year a few years back...

he has a really good reputation and has been credited with many local awards and positions...

I think Watson is gonna have his hands full with him...

He needs to dial down the rhetoric about how he was raised, he doesn't need the money, this is not about the money..............yeah, we get it, he's a humanitarian.

Just pipe down and do you job.
