You don't have to worry about anyone in Pats organization ever being a role model. No such lofty standards of decency apply there. In fact, the Pats are the dirtiest professional sports organization in the modern era. Even by the low standards of the NFL no other team comes close. It all derives from Belichick. He is a win at all costs guy. He coaches like he is at war. Anything goes. If he can get away with cheating, then he justifies cheating because it gives him a competitive advantage. A great example. He has corrupted everyone there. Even a respected guy like Kraft is now a laughing stock. All so homer fans can live vicariously through his success and feel better about themselves. Belichick must laugh his arse off when he looks in the stands and sees those sad sacks. It's very humorous. A pathetic societal example though. How do you think guys like Brown become the clowns they are? Fans and coaches that allow them to get away with anything because they are great athletes. No matter what they do, they simply move on to another big payday. Brown is his own worst enemy though. He brings with him the just rewards of coddling to such an idiot. Enjoy him.
Kraft is a respected guy?
Holy smokes.
Kraft began his professional career with the Rand-Whitney Group, a Worcester-based packaging company run by his father-in-law Jacob Hiatt, ie, he went into his wife's family business.
In 1968, he "gained control of the company through a leveraged buyout."
"Leveraged buyout"...…………...that's a nice way of saying it.
He bought the Patriots for a song out of bankruptcy, the stadium was a ****hole and was worthless, on a parcel of worthless land in the middle of nowhere next to an abandoned race track.
His mantra was "I was a fan, I sat in the stands, bought season tickets for myself and my two sons, my wife was upset I bought them as we really could not afford them"...………...oh yeah, "buying out his Father in law", he lived a hard scrabbled life the poor SOB.
Then he threatened to move the team to Hartford, their mayor bent over and was going to hand him a fully funded stadium, they had a ground breaking ceremony, then at the 11th hour, he bailed on Hartford and got a sweetheart deal from the state of MA, they funded all the infrastructure work around the stadium, he got the land for a song, converted it into "Patriots place" with a **** ton of restaurants where you can buy a 42.00 cheeseburger and high end shops where you can buy the latest fru fru item at sky high rip off prices.
I'm not even going to go into his personal life since his wife died, that woman was a saint, just a tremendous human being, he outkicked the coverage when he married her, a wonderful woman, the poor thing must be spinning in her grave.
Yeah, I have nothing but the highest amount of "respect" for him...…………...:rolleyes2:
