N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (3 Viewers)

Speaking of Washington, they were the first team to cover the spread without scoring since Miami pulled it of in 2007; they lost 9-0, the spread was +10 for Washington, so they had that going for them yesterday.

That NFC East is a tire fire, the 4-3 Cowboys lead the division...………...and good Christ are the Iggles terrible, that defense is putrid, as is Wentz.

They let the wrong QB go, if that stiff did not get hurt, the Patriots would have rolled him and the Iggles and their Harry High School bozo of a coach...……………………...

The NFC west is on fire. They were 3-0 on the road yesterday. It helps to play teams like the Deadskins and Atlanta but even the lowly Cards are showing signs of life.

Speaking of tire fires, the Bears were beyond awful yesterday. Trubisky has regressed. He looks like the second coming of Mark Sanchez.

Jimmy G isn’t looking that great either; 7 TDs and 6 INTs are not going to cut it. If not for that defense, who knows were they’d be.

It's amazing how many bad QB's there are in the NFL, pretty sad state of affairs, maybe there are too many teams and not enough quality QB's to go around.

The league overall is pretty bad, there are some God awful teams...…………...out of the 32 teams in the league, on a push maybe 8 of them are very good, 6 of them are decent and 18 of them are terrible, less than half the league is very good to good, more than half the league is terrible.

Everybody thought the Pats were being taken when they traded Jimmy G to the Niners. Maybe it’s the other way around. I remember years ago the Mets did a great selling job on a pitcher they eventually traded to the Twins. Everybody thought they had not gotten enough back but he never amounted to much.

Brady and the Pats offense have been pretty average dating back to the SB and even the AFC championship where he was one offsides penalty away from losing and throwing 3 INTs. Brady forced a trade because he didn't want his replacement standing over his shoulder. So the longer term story might be different when Brady eventually gets injured or hangs it up.

Funny you mention that as frankly, I never understood the Jimmy G hysteria that swept through the ranks.

He played decent vs the Cardinals in the opener, threw a long TD pass with blown coverage, it had more to do with the coverage than the actual pass. He played well in the first half vs a crappy Dolphins team, then he got, then another QB stepped in for the final two and a half games Brady was suspended.

So he parlayed 1.5 decent games into a monster contract; good for him, but again, I never understood it.

Th combined record of Brady, Brissett and Garoppolo is 16-2 this year. I know there is a lot more to those numbers but the Patriots clearly know something about QB's.

Looking at the Patriots schedule, I can’t see them going less than 14-2; the Ravens and Chiefs (if Mahomes is back) could be tough. 16-0 is a distinct possibility and a perfect season is not impossible. Good news: they don’t have to worry about Eli.

Patriots got Sanu from the Falcons for a 2nd round pick.

Holy smokes...…………...ie, the rich get richer.

That defense last night was something else.

I don't care who they have played this year, when you are that dominant, it's something special.

Their defense has given up three TD's; one on a fourth down QB sneak that barely got in, one on a long run with poor tackling, one on a juggling catch.

THREE TD's in 7 games.

ONE through the air in a pass happy league.

That has to be the worst game in MNF ever. It was a pitiful display of ineptitude from a so called football team that I have ever seen. There is not one positive thing you can say about the Jets performance other than that Gaze should be fired IMMEDIATELY. Had they hired Mike McCarthy this would not have happened.

Darnold said he's "seeing ghosts" on the sidelines. I figured they had to be the spirits of all previous Jets quarterbacks, lining up and accusing him.

The Pats are a machine. Granted the Jets are horrible but they carved them up like a high school team. And if you put Darnold on the Pats and Brady on the Jets it would have been about the same result. Football is a team game. And Bellichick has put in place a great system that allows the Pats to plug almost any NFL player into a position and succeed. It is not superstar dependent like most teams. It is a collectively system in which everyone knows their role. As a result, players that might be average on other teams are unstoppable when they play for the Pats. When you think about almost any NFL dynasty there probably five or more players that stand out. With the Pats it's hard to name any other than Brady. A total team effort from top to bottom.

I think it was totally unfair for that kid to be mic'd; the Jets should not have allowed that, put the mic on someone else, a poor decision by the Jets to allow it.

Agree with this 1000%.

Outside of Brady and Ty Law, there is not another player on the team from 2001 through 2019 that I can honestly say belongs in the HOF.

As you said, they plug guys in and they coach them up.

It's amazing what they have accomplished going on 20 years, a run that I'll never see in this sport again in my lifetime.

It all comes down to the coach and the QB...…………….Belichick is just on another level, he took over the defense this year and look at what they are doing, I really think he took over at the start of the playoffs last year as they were on another level vs the Chargers, Chiefs and Rams, three dynamic offenses that they beat on the way to another Super Bowl victory.

.

This season has abruptly turned into a rebuilding year after a mere 7 games. Wow. Just....typical.

Dan Quinn from coaching marvel to sad sack loser in 1.42 seasons.

At least if they blow any half time leads this year, nobody will actually care. Fans got that going for ‘em.

They were never the same after that loss to the Patriots. That changed everything.

George...
other than a great meal...
which may not taste so good...
I'm really not looking forward to Thanksgiving week...

Dallas will visit New England on Oct 24th...
it will probably -12 degrees...
with 12 inches of snow...
40 mph winds...

the Cowboys will come out layered in thermal gear...
Edelman will have sweat frozen in his beard while he plays in short sleeves...

not looking forward to watching that butt whooping...
Dak will be seeing ghosts...
the Cowboys will be exposed as pretenders...

Urban Meyers said he wants the job...
Lincoln Riley's name is coming up often in new's releases...
this game may be the straw that breaks the camels back...
I think reality will set in and JJ will see what he really has on his plate in the way of a head coach...

and if that's not bad enough...
we get to play Buffalo 4 days later...

turkey is gonna be hard to swallow that week...
gonna need lots of gravy...:rolleyes2:

If only my Rams could play the likes of Atlanta and the Bengals every week. They would be 100-0. And Goff the greatest QB in history. Kupp had 220 receiving yards today.
